We were surprised to read this review. To our knowledge, the guest stayed the full one-night reservation and did not report any concerns about pests or heating during their stay or at checkout, We received a message from the guest on the morning of checkout advising us that they had in fact checked out, with no mention of any dissatifaction. So we were not given the opportunity to address any alledged issues or any concerns. We perform documented routine preventative pest treatments and had serviced the home shortly before this stay. We work hard to and take pride in providing a positive guest experience. Our property is thoroughly cleaned and maintained, and we have a consistent history of positive guest experiences across various booking platforms. We encourage all guests to contact us during their stay if anything needs attention so we can resolve it right away.

We strongly disagree with this guest's characterization of our property. Most concerning is the claim that the staircase has no railing, which is absolutely false. The railing is clearly visible in our listing photographs. The cottage is accurately represented in our listing, including its layout and accommodations. The primary concern raised during this reservation involved the upstairs air conditioning during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. The cottage is equipped with two independent HVAC systems, and the downstairs system was operating properly. No pest concerns were reported to us during the reservation. We maintain quarterly professional pest control services, with prompt additional service available whenever needed. Unfortunately, this guest threatened to leave a negative review if a refund was not issued. We explained that while we take legitimate concerns seriously and work promptly toward fair resolutions, refunds are not issued in response to threats. We stand behind our commitment to providing a clean, safe, and functional property and encourage prospective guests to consider our listing photographs, property description, and the experiences shared by our other guests.
