Coffee pot had mold
The apartment was located in a great area. It was very quiet and peaceful, but close to hiking and everything else Grants Pass had to offer. Also, the couch and bed were very comfortable, and the apartment had nice countertops, stove, tvs, and was well laid out and comfortable.
However, the apartment was lacking in pretty basic supplies in the kitchen such as towels, a soap dispenser for hand washing, pot holders, and cleaning supplies for disinfecting the countertops.
This was also the first VRBO property I have ever stayed in that didn’t have a welcome sheet or booklet of some sort. Since there was no service, we had a lot of difficulty getting the VRBO app to open to get the WiFi password, which turned out to be incorrect. We had to message the host when we went back into town to get the correct one.
Finally, there was a little issue with cleanliness. The beds did not have a top sheet. I really hope that the comforters are washed after each guest. The shower had no water pressure until my husband scraped the calcium buildup off the shower head. The floors needed a good mopping, and there was dead bugs and dirt behind the blinds on the windowsill. However, all of this could have been forgiven, if we had not discovered the first morning of our stay that the water reservoir of the coffee pot was full of mold! Absolutely disgusting! Trying to find a coffee shop that was open Thanksgiving morning was not exactly how I envisioned the first day of our trip going!
