To facilitate snow removal the grill and lounge set are removed for winter months.The stone floored entryway houses laundry facilities and opens to a small covered patio wonderful for outdoor dining in inclement weather.The perfect artists and writers retreat the cottage is located in a peaceful cul de sac on the banks of the beautiful Housatonic River. Falls Village and surrounding areas offer an array of wonderful outdoor activities including, boating, canoe and kayak, fishing, swimming, biking, horseback riding and golf. The cottage is close to the Appalachian trail for hiking and bird watching , the beautiful twin lakes area is a 15 minute drive. In winter months down hill and cross country skiing are close by and there are also many nearby trails for snowshoeing. Just a 10 minute drive to the famed Music Mountain which offers summer long concerts of jazz and classical music.The historic villages of Lakeville and Salisbury are close by and offer fine dining and antiquing .The cottage is approximately a 30 minute drive to all the Berkshire attractions. Enjoy day trips to Tanglewood, Shakespeare and CO, Berkshire Theater CO, Jacobs Pillow, Berkshire Botanical Gardens and the Museums. Lime Rock Racetrack is a 10 minute drive. The cottage is fully equipped with all amenities including hi speed wireless internet, streaming TV's and upstairs music system. Daily housekeeping service available , weekly housekeeping service required.
