Paul was a great host and very accommodating - even printing out a parking pass for us.The grounds were nice and quiet (aside from Rt 7, but that's beyond his control!)The river was amazing and it was a great 5 days!

Relaxing stay by the river

Relaxing stay at the cottage with beautiful views of the river and pond. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to the sounds of nature and taking in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The host were attentive yet respectful of our privacy. We look forward to coming back and making this our annual nature retreat.

My two‑week stay in Connecticut was absolutely wonderful. The property is surrounded by beautiful nature—lush greenery, a peaceful pond, and a serene river you can admire right from the porch or from the fire pit. Every morning felt like a retreat, and every evening was quiet, calm, and restorative.The home itself was cozy, clean, and perfectly situated for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. What truly made the experience exceptional was the host, Paul. He was consistently responsive, thoughtful, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the stay. His hospitality elevated the entire trip.My wife spent hours on the porch and befriended three Chimpmunks. When she came outside, they would come running. They like fruit, especially grapes and strawberries. Take care of our little chimps for those who visit (-:.Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in a stunning natural setting, we will defenitly stay again in the future!
