This is a mountain cabin in the perfect location backing up to forest service land. 5 bedroom, 4 bath convenient private mountain retreat. Close to charming Idaho Springs, this multi-level home is close to everything you can imagine. Hiking, skiing, Mt. Evans, rafting, shopping, and all of the outdoor activities you can ask for! 30 min to Denver, 15 min to Red Rocks, less than 1 hour to Breckenridge.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Check-out is by 11 AM. Please start the dishwasher and take any food you’d like from the fridge. Set the thermostat to 65°. We hope you loved your stay!
Place trash & recycling in the bear-proof cans by the parking area (close lids tightly). Turn off lights, fans, and the TV. Thank you for helping!
Make sure the grill gas is off and all doors & windows are locked. If you need anything, call/text 701-205-7060. Safe travels — we loved hosting you!

Fantastic Family Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this wonderful home. The game room provided lots of entertainment for us. Very spacious and all the amenities we needed for a great week.

Great for large groups

This was our 2nd winter stay and we were just as happy this time around. So much room to spread out, lots of games & activities, blankets to cozy up by the fire, kitchen is stocked well, and the location is convenient to town & I70. We are a group of 8 & this home is perfect for a week stay, or longer!

Great space and location

Had a wonderful weekend with friends at this home, perfect location close to Denver but still in the mountains. Lots of space and plenty of beds for a group of friends or family. Owners were very responsive to all of my questions, check in/out was quick and painless. Would love to come back in the warmer months and enjoy the beautiful balcony!

Fourth Stay

We always choose this house when in the Idaho Springs area. Perfect for our group of 8 adults & 2 dogs. Comfortable without the constant fear of someone breaking something. 3 levels makes it great for everyone to have a place.

Cozy Snowy Getaway

My family and I had an amazing stay out in Idaho Springs. Judd and Catherine were awesome hosts who checked in on us multiple times during our stay. The cabin was spacious and had plenty to entertain our kids. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware to whip up your favorite foods. Overall it was a great vacation and we highly recommend staying at Judd and Catherine’s for your next vacation.

Very pleased

This house was perfect for our week in Colorado Springs. Each family had their own floor and bathroom. House was very clean and the hosts were very attentive. Our daughter and son-in-law were married at Blackstone Rivers Ranch making this the perfect spot to call home for a few days.

Perfect enclave nestled in the Eastern Rockys ,in the delightful town of Idaho Springs,

Our extended family of 12 including my oldest daughter and husband who live in Idaho Springs, and 2 other kids with their families of 4 from the east coast had plenty of common room and privacy in this well appointed house. There was a lovely view from large decks, plenty of games for inside and out and a great open concept of kitchen, dining and living room. Everything you’d need was right there! The town of Idaho Springs is a small, quintessential old mining down with 3 blocks of no traffic downtown- a tiny, less pretentious Boulder! There were plenty of hikes, mine exploration, and other activities for all ages nearby. Loved it!

Spacious Mountain Cabin

This is a fabulous cabin for large or multiple families/friends. It’s very comfortable. There is room for everyone to gather and also additional space for those who want to be alone. It is clean and well appointed with extras like a cocoa bar, s’mores, Keurig pods, games, videos. The bathrooms even have makeup remover packets. The kitchen has everything a home kitchen would have. We saw deer and a flock of wild turkeys on the property. Catherine and Judd are very gracious and quick to respond. We would definitely stay again.

The Wagners respond to questions promptly, the property is very accommodating and the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware and coffee items. A dozen of our group stayed in a house 2 doors away and we all agreed Judd's place was the best of the two!
