Gorgeous surf views from upstairs large balcony. Walk to the beach, Cedros art district, and world-famous Belly Up—home of live music and famous acts—then come home to a stylish house with mannequins, art, and neon divers on the living room wall. Ten minutes drive from Del Mar Racetrack (or walk ten minutes to regular bus service at the train station when races are running). Three beautiful bedrooms (one can function as upstairs sunroom with king Murphy bed). Two bedrooms have ensuite bathroom. Upstairs has automatic fireplace and jetted tub with ocean view. Wide screen T. In V. in family room. Living room has automatic fireplace and peeks at ocean. Private backyard with swimming pool, jacuzzi, and slide, ocean views, and lush landscaping. Garage has room for one car. No pets. You must have a 5 star rating to rent this house.

Paradise with a view

The minute we arrived into this home we already knew this was going to be an amazing experience. The house is absolutely gorgeous and clean and stunning. The hostess was so nice And gracious. The pool was sparkling and clean, and every bed in the house was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of supplies for our cooking needs and we just felt incredibly safe and comfortable. We will definitely be back for a second stay

Beautiful property

Beautiful and tranquil property. Nice courtyard to enjoy your morning coffee, and a lovely deck to take in the view of the ocean. The neighborhood is nice and very quiet. 3 good size bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which was perfect for the 6 of us. Easy check in along with detailed notes on how to operate things. There is plenty of seating in both living and dining with a full kitchen to have a wonderful vacation. There is also shopping and dining nearby. We look forward to staying there again.

Very comfortable

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this home in Solana Beach. Location is fantastic in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. The ocean view from the front deck is such a plus. The owner went above and beyond with extras to make us feel welcome. We loved using the e bikes provided in the garage. The bathrooms are nicely updated and the beds very comfortable, even the Murphy bed upstairs. The decor is non-traditional for sure and more than once the mannequins startled us when we walked into the room. I thought my kids were climbing on the furniture naked for a split second…nope, just the mannequins again. If you can look past the mannequins, you won’t mind the other eccentricities. Would not recommend for a family with small, busy children because there is a lot of breakable decor within reach of small hands. My kids are older, so wasn’t an issue for us. We had a snafu with the water our first morning there, but we were able to get ahold of Jennifer and she fixed it right away and made up for the inconvenience. Would recommend.

I love art and mannequins. I hope you do too. I made many of the ceramics in the house. Much of the art was made by my friends.

Why they chose this property

It’s very walkable. There are restaurants both fancy and beachy within walking distance, plus a famous rock concert venue, the Belly Up. The beach is a ten minute walk from the house. There is also an entire lagoon system with the famous Annie’s Canyon. Plus Cedros Design Center. And the Del Mar racetrack is a ten minute drive away. The temperature is almost always pleasant and the ocean breezes are wonderful on balmy night. Don’t forget to look for the green flash right as the sun sets over the ocean.

What makes this property unique

We are ten minutes from the Del Mar race track. During racing season, there is a regular bus service available at the train station, a short walk from our house. We have tons of art, even in the yard. Our landscaping includes mature palms and fruit trees. Our yard has been liked to the San Diego Zoo but without the animals.
