Our home is located in the foothills and uses a private well system, which can occassionally produce a temporary mineral or sulfur odor, particularly after rain. This is a normal characteristic of well water in the area, is not related to sewage or a plumbing issue, and is clearly noted in the listing so guests can make an informed choice before booking. When you contacted me, I responded immediately and sent my head housekeeper to the property to inspect the showers and faucets, replace the shower filter, and run the water throughout the home. I also followed up mutliple times afterward to ensure everything was satisfactory, but did not receive any further response during your stay. We take guest concerns seriously and address them promptly whenever notified.

We enjoyed having you and your family stay in our home in Santa Fe. For future guests, we are tucked away surrounded by trees in Canoncito. We are about 13 miles south of the Plaza. If you want a serene vibe surrounded by nature and hiking trails, this is your place.

Thank you for the kind comments and so glad you enjoyed your stay. Given the super drought we have experienced this year 2021, the Santa Fe water table has been lower than normal so from time to time a sulfur smell can come although not dangerous. For future readers, the home is in Santa Fe and approx 20 minutes to the plaza.

So glad you enjoyed the home. this beautiful Santa fe adobe charm home is listed for max 4 guests. in 5 years renting thus home, privacy in the home has not been addressed as an issue as the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the home. several exceptions had been granted this renter such as 5 guests stayed and pet when max guests allowed were 4. a four hour check in was given and 50 percent off low season discount. glad she enjoyed her stay.

Maybe in the summer you can access those hiking areas behind our home so glad you mentioned the one close by about 1.2 miles up the road is called Eldorado Trailhead.
