Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience! We're delighted to hear that you found our place to be great and conveniently located.
We strive to provide a comfortable and peaceful stay for all our guests, and it's wonderful to know that we were able to deliver on that promise during your visit.
The home was comfortable, superbly furnished, and has extremely comfortable beds. That’s really all we wanted and this house delivered! Jay is easy to reach and responsive.
We wanted to stay in Oak Park with our dog. We visited the historic area and great downtown restaurants. The house is located on a very busy street on the edge of Oak Park. The property manager was very responsive and good to work with.

Thank you for the wonderful review, Larry! We certainly wish you could have stayed longer but very happy our space was the perfect place for your short stay with us.
We enjoyed our stay; this is the 2nd time we have stayed there. It's close to our daughter's house and Oak Park is a cute little village. Although we left the day their Farmer's Market opened, we enjoyed it last year. Conveniently located near shopping, restaurants and the L. Garage parking was so convenien, and the coffee bar in the kitchen hit the spot every morning. Love this house, and our host is very responsive.

Great host communicates well if you need him. Helped with all my concerns. Check in was was easy and smooth. Property inside and out was also clean and in a nice neighborhood with access to ALOT. Thank you
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Oak Park. The house was perfect for us, and would be fine for a family as well. We happily parked our suburban diagonally in the garage; parking in Oak Park in general is a hassle. It was. I’ve not to worry about it. The house was impeccably clean and beds were comfortable. Great coffee bar! We’d stay there again in a heartbeat!

Quaint old home in a convenient area to my needs. Good communication. Had all the basic amenities I need as well. Street traffic can be a bit loud at times, and the driveway for parking is very narrow but nothing can be done about that. Thankful my rental car was small.
We want by thé blue Line every day to the loop and Downtown. It was a little slow because workload on trace but very convenient. The neighbourhood market are not supplyed but there is a Aldi that IS about 500 yards nearby. WE enjoy art institut ,Willis tower, boat on the canal and shopping around the water tower.
Exactly as beautiful as the pictures show. I loved all the cool old houses and buildings in the area, made for some nice walks. The restaurants in the area are delicious and surprisingly inexpensive. I had thought we'd eat downtown more, but there were plenty of choices. We were there during an intense heat wave and were extremely grateful for the four AC units that kept it reasonably cool.
We flew in and took public transportation everywhere, which worked okay except for user error. There's a bus stop a 1-minute walk away that takes you to the L.
Overall we had a great time.

Nice house
The house is quite nice, spacious, well appointed. I found the location difficult due to traffic and parking, as I have a large van, which did not work in this space. Signed instructions around the house and loud squawk of the security system felt unwelcoming and off-putting to me. Jay was responsive but somewhat cryptic. Very nice house.
John's home was perfect for my 17 night stay as I healed from a procedure I had at Mt. Sinai Hospital near by. The home had all the items we needed to cook healthy meals. It was stocked with linens and towels. The beds were very comfortable. Lounge and dining areas had amply seating. Security features made us feel safe in an unfamiliar place. This home is about 30 minutes from the airport and about 9 minutes from the grocery store.
The only thing that I will say future renter should know that the home is on a very busy main street. Therefore pulling in and out of the driveway can take a bit of time. Also the driveway is narrow.
An overall negative experience with some positives, positives 1st. The house was nice and in a neighbourhood with a lot of amenities, although in a transition zone. The L station was very close & one of the reasons we chose this location.
On arrival the door to the house would not unlock, due to the batteries being dead and the host, Jay, got me in through the back door via a phone call and had the batteries replaced within a few hours. However, convincing him that the lock was not opening was very difficult. He did not believe me and was frustrated having to modify my entrance to the house.
We were instructed to not flush our used toilet paper but instead to PLACE OUR USED TOILET PAPER IN THE GARBAGE. This was not on the listing and very unexpected when visiting Chicagoland. We wouldn’t stay there again.
Throughout our 3 nights stay we were unable to connect to the internet. We had access to the WiFi signal but not a connection to the internet. I repeatedly tried to resolve this problem with Jay but like the lock he assumed I was incompetent throughout the process. He referenced a landing page for the WiFi but never gave us the website. He was also confused as to why I wasn’t connected to the network when he checked remotely. I couldn’t contact him through the VRBO app without paying for US data through data roaming (We’re from Canada). We did not expect to have to use up expensive roaming data limits when in the house as Internet was included in the price of the rental.

It has been estimated that there are over 300,000 unnecessary words in the English language. Often, conversations are brimming with them, which can be rather time-consuming and ultimately unproductive.
The cleaning crew had already been on-site for several hours prior to his arrival, and I conducted a thorough inspection of their work. It is quite perplexing that the rating is so low. This situation appears to be indicative of someone not accustomed to having their desires met in full.
I completely understand your frustration regarding access to the property. However, the security system lock had unfortunately malfunctioned and required identification before we could proceed with the repair.
Thankfully, the issue was promptly resolved, and all door lock batteries were replaced within the hour. It's worth noting that this problem did not come to light during the cleaning crew's earlier visit to the property. Rest assured, we do have a backup plan in place to access the property, so neither I nor the customer need to endure any further frustration.
I must admit, I'm a bit perplexed by your interpretation of the sign regarding toilet tissue disposal. The sign clearly states, 'Wipes clog pipes.' In my four years of offering top-notch hospitality, no one has ever been confused about the proper disposal of used toilet tissue. My sincere apologies if this has caused any confusion on your part.

The one on the list by the light on the front room. We can connect to the wifi fine there is just no access to the internet.
Our issue is traveling and using data is very expensive, we had hoped to have wifi at the house.

I don't see you are not logged into the house WiFi router with the password. Do you get the house WiFi menu screen?
I sent you a screenshot of the login menu.
Lowell Sep 2, 10:56 AM
Logged in with Stayat1104, do not get a menu screen. We have to leave now but will check again later.
Me Sep 2, 11:04 AM
Okay,
You must log in through the menu with the password "Stayat1104".
That was your last communication concerning internet access.
Everyone using the menu will have free access to the internet. I don’t think you wanted to login using the comfortable stay menu.
I appreciate your feedback.
