RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #255A will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

The communication was excellent and the staff very friendly. I would recommend this stay for anyone requiring a small room with easy beach access. My only negative was that the bathroomneeds updating. Overall this is a great location for beach lovers!

This room was sufficient for a three night stay, but it is not a luxury room. It is a small bedroom, very small refrigerator. TV was the size of a computer monitor. Bedding was oversized to the bed size. But if you want cleanliness, it was well kept. short walk to the beach . Resort provided lounge, chairs, and umbrella, and the pool area was very nice also. I would say this room will accommodate a single person nicely. Economical. Front desk person was very friendly and polite.

We had a great visit- enjoyed the complimentary Cedars Tennis membership! Location and beach were great. Only drawbacks were a very noisy air conditioner and the room was dark.

Nice place for a fantastic getaway

Silver Sands was a great place for us to stay for our Longboat Key getaway! My only complaint would be that it would have been nice for housekeeping to come in at least once for what we paid. Otherwise, yes, we would certainly stay here again!

A quiet getaway

This was a solo mom-cation. The room was clean and well stocked. The bathroom had fresh towels. I was seconds from sitting on the beach with a cold beer and no kids. It was perfect.

Love the location

You really can’t beat the location. Right on the beach and walkable to a few restaurants that were great. The studio we rented was just too tight for us. We didn’t think about having to wash dishes in the bathroom sink. We will stay at this resort again but in a one bedroom.

They have done a remarkable job with the cleanup after the storm but there were a few maintenances issues that had to brought to their attention. Once they were notified, they did resolve all our issues.

It was a great location, right on the beach!

The room was clean but one downside was the mini fridge didn't have a real freezer and there was no ice machine available on the premises. This meant we had to go buy ice each day.

Quiet location

We enjoyed our weekend stay. The location and the beach was very quiet and private. Our only issue was that we checked in after 5pm and then our room keys didn’t work correctly. We were able to contact RVA and were walked through process for getting key out of a lock box. We notified the Silver Sands office the following day so that steps can be taken to make sure the keys work more easily for future guests.
