About this property
Historic Condo on the Square in Downtown St. Augustine
The Lyons Building was fully renovated into condominiums in the early 2000's. The building dates from the 1850's and was originally a grocery store and boarding house. The charming exterior of the building has been preserved, but all the construction inside is new. What's great about the Lyons Building? In a word, location, location, location! We are on the square in the heart of the historic district, so shopping and restaurants are literally at your doorstep. This is a very comfortable area to walk in day or night, with a festive atmosphere all year long and especially at holiday time.
The waterfront is a 2 block walk. There are excellent beaches with 10 minutes' drive. Check out our links below to web sites for Anastasia State Park, Vilano Beach and St. Augustine Beach. Horse drawn carriages and trolleys circle the square. There are only 18 units in this unique building, so it has a completely different feel from the large condominium complexes in the area. Our unit is furnished with turn-of-the-century antique oak furnishings and faces the side street (St. George Street) rather than King Street, so it is quiet and relaxing.

If you want to spend your time in the historic district or to wander
some terrifically unique neighborhoods this is the place to stay. If you're
into boats, the harbor is about 3 blocks away and you can walk the piers
for up close look at the moored boats. There are many restaurants in walking distance with a variety fares.
The owners are very nice and helpful. Was very happy there.

Exceptionally comfortable and great value!!
We spent the last three weeks of March 2015 in this wonderful condo! The owners were kind and attentive. The space is well furnished and VERY comfortable. The location is the best in St. Augustine. Though in the middle of the city it is safe, secure and quiet. There is a roof top deck that is great fun! With minimal effort and cost there are solutions to the lack of on sight parking. This is not really a problem. St. Augustine has a lot to offer and this condo is the perfect way to enjoy it all. We can't wait to come back. We are very grateful to the owners for taking such good care of us!

Excellent Downtown St. Augustine Location
We rented this condo at the end of March and through all of April 2013. We would highly recommend for those who want a very comfortable location in the heart of the downtown St. Augustine. The unit is beautifully furnished and thoroughly equipped; in fact, it would be hard to think of any item not available. We had a single question (not a problem) on our arrival and the owner responded immediately. Very private and secure. Access to the rooftop deck is a very nice benefit. Would not hesitate to rent again.

Super stay in December 2012
December 2012 was the second time we stayed at this lovely condo. I would stay again and highly recommend it. It is beautifully decorated and feels like home. Everything you need is there (and working well) and it was spotless when we arrived.
It is located right in the middle of downtown St Augustine - literally steps from several local attractions and a very short walk to many others. Near many great restaurants too. Great place!!

A True Gem in downtown St. Augustine
I was fortunate enough to stay in this wonderful condo for the months of October and November and for a bit of December, 2011. You can not ask for a better location or a nicer owner. Cool thing is that you are right in the center of everything going on in downtown and you can't miss a thing. There might be music, a festival of some kind, a certain historical event is being remembered, etc. You will get to enjoy them all :O)) And, did i mention that you could enjoy them all from the rooftop, looking out on the city and all the happenings.
It was so wonderful to ride my bike to one of the city's Farmer's Markets or to the beach or even perhaps to one of the city's most beautiful tree-lined neighborhoods. Everything was within a short walk including restaurants, playhouses, shopping, historical presentations, etc. Truly, I can't imagine a better location in all of St. Augustine. Be sure to eat at the middle-eastern restaurant right below the condo. It is very good and the folks are very nice.
The condo itself is also very special and well-appointed. It is on the quieter end of the Lyons Building, so you have lots of privacy if you want it. And, If you have any concerns, the owners will attend to them very quickly and professionally. You will find everything to your liking in this condo, for sure.
St. Augustine has so much to offer: history, architecture, archaeology, music, the ocean, very nice people, the arts, etc.. You will enjoy all of this and more, from this wonderful condo in the Lyons Building.
My husband and I just returned from a stay at this beautiful condo. Since we live less than two hours away, we have stayed in numerous hotels, bed-and-breakfasts, and a beach house or two over the last 25 years. This condo is by far our favorite place. The rooms are spacious, light, and bright, beautifully decorated, and clean and well maintained. The condo is in the heart of the historic downtown, 2 blocks from the bay, about a half mile from the fort, and steps away from dozens of restaurants, galleries, museums, and tourist attractions. The owner was very easy to with. We hope to return next year for a month.

FABULOUS LOCATION AND GREAT ACCOMMODATION!!!
We went for a family wedding and the convenient location in the historic district allowed us to walk to 2 out of 3 functions. The condo itself is spacious and lovely with a great kitchen, lovely baths, pretty furnishings and everything you need including Wifi. There is a rooftop deck which offer fantastic views of the area. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend working with this owner who is efficient and gracious.
One hint: the entrance to the parking lot is off Cordova not St. George!

If you are looking for a very clean, spacious, well equipped, beautifully decorated, steps from the historic area condo in St. Augustine, then you need not search any further. Add the very accommodating owners and you understand why we are returning next year.
My husband and I fell in love with St. Augustine on our first visit there in 2005. We are die hard 'old house people', and we couldn't resist the opportunity to make this condo our special place for family getaways.
Why they chose this property
We love being able to park our car (off street) and walk around historic St. Augustine. The charm of the area is almost palpable, and there are ample restaurants and shops within a one to four block radius of our building. We are adjacent to the Casa Monica Hotel, a five star hotel which is considered one of the top hotels in the area.
What makes this property unique
We have parking, which isn't easy to find in the historic district.
