The Adventure Cabin at Bear Bluff Retreat is located on a wooded 20 acres above and overlooking Wright's Bend on Center Hill Lake near Rock Island State Park. The surrounding area is considered the waterfall mecca of Tennessee with more caves, waterfalls and scenic overlooks per square mile than anywhere else in the United States.

This cabin features an adventure theme and provides a perfect launch for hiking, kayaking and other outdoor adventures. We have 3 cabins and 3 RV sites at Bear Bluff Retreat so that you can bring some friends & family by reserving what you need. Each cabin is ideal for a single, couple, or family with small children.

Beautiful stay

A lovely little cabin with all the accomodations necessary for a perfect get-away. 20 min away from a charming town and state parks. We enjoyed our time jusy hanging out in the cabin as well as hiking, horseback riding, and a day trip to Nashville. Very clean, easy check in and the ride to and from is absolutely breathtaking.

Cozy Cabin in a Peaceful Setting

We had a wonderful stay at Bear Bluff Retreat. The cabin was super clean and we didn’t have any issues the whole weekend. Bed was comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. The view from the back deck was just breath taking. My wife and I loved taking in that view with our morning coffee! All we could hear were the birds and the wind blowing in the trees. Owners had great communication. We even met one of them in passing and had a nice little chat. Gave us some good hiking recommendations. Would definitely recommend this for a peaceful getaway!

Awesome Place

Curt and JoAnn were awesome hosts! The cabin is super clean and has all you need for your stay. We had a snag with bringing our motorcycle (would not recommend) but the hosts were so very accommodating with helping us resolve our mode of transportation issue we couldn’t have enjoyed our peaceful vacation as much as we did, we highly recommend and plan to be back

Adventures at the adventure cabin

We had such an amazing stay at the cabin, it is a beautiful, well thought out and comfortable cabin. All of our needs and expectations were met. …the view I cannot emphasize how amazing the view is. Relaxing on the back deck or watching Christmas movies in the Cabin, and Sundays out in the nearby state parks, all amazing 100% hidden gem

Gorgeous Getaway

This cabin was a perfect getaway for our little family for the weekend! If you love secluded, quiet and scenic locations, look no further! We enjoyed visiting local State Parks, hiking and kayaking. The local area is beautiful and full of wildlife and scenic views. Curt and JoAnn were quick to respond to any questions or needs we had, and offered great recommendations for enjoying a meal out of the cabin if desired.

Wonderful spot in the woods

We arrived as they were finishing up cleaning, as we asked for an early checkin on the way there. We were greeted by our hosts with big smiles. We couldn’t have felt more welcome! The cabin was spotless and very cozy and had a gorgeous view of the lake. I highly recommend and will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Perfect!

The cabin was perfect for us. It was clean, comfortable, well stocked, nicely decorated, and the view was outstanding. We enjoyed sitting on the deck after exploring the local state parks soaking up the view and peaceful surroundings. Having our small dog with us, we also appreciated the short trail on the property. The cabins are close together, but it wasn't an issue for us. Our only regret was not booking a longer stay!

Waterfall trip

Place was great and clean and good location to get to hiking spots. Only thing is you don’t have any privacy (which I knew beforehand) out by your fire pit. There are 3 cabins that are just a SUV width apart so when other groups are outside you can hear all conversations without trying. Other than that great!!

Perfect get away

Our cabin was immaculate, cute, tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully furnished and equipped. The view of the lake was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the fireflies at night. We had never seen ones with green flashes before. Our Hosts made us feel welcome with a sweet note and a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. That. Amazing. View!!!

So enjoyed our time in "The Adventure Cabin" and getting to savor that view every morning & evening was just Divine!! SOOO much love & care went into creating this space and the decor was so fun! The cabin was pristinely clean & comfy and it was fun to be greeted with a s'mores kit & logs for our fab fire pit! Having access to the beautoful common areas on the grounds was also an awesome bonus! Because there are 3 cabins close together, this is a great set-up for families/groups wanting to have your own "oasis". There is a gravel drive that takes a little getting used to, so best to arrive during the daytime if possible. Curt was so incredibly kind & helpful and made sure we had everything we needed :). Overall, a magical, special location, adorable cabin & a view that will rock your world!

We loved our stay! Great, cozy and clean cabin. It’s just enough off the beaten path to be quiet, yet less than a 15min drive to be a little more closer in to Walmart and other places. Also, just a quick drive to Rock Island State Park. We look forward to visiting again!
