The property was beautiful, well appointed, clean, just as the pictures showed. The road was as steep and rough as promised as well, so make sure you have at least AWD. I would definitely return to this VRBO!

We had a great time staying in the Bear Mountain retreat The house was clean the communication with the host was excellent. We enjoyed the hot tub.And the fireplace had plenty of wood.We loved the off road driveway!!!!!!!!

Lovely cabin in the woods, nice and secluded. We booked this in anticipation of hiking nearby trails, but unfortunately it rained during our whole stay, so this was a good place to hang out. The drive up to the cabin is rather steep, so would recommend AWD.

Everything was spotless when we got here. Bed is very comfy. Hot tub was extremely nice. Kitchen was well stocked along with bathroom essentials. Check in and check out instructions were very clear. The host was responsive to any questions we had. It’s nice this place has a generator so if power goes out you have no problems. I rate this as a 10 out of 10. We will be returning.

The cabin exceeded our expectations! The attention to detail was amazing and the hosts have thought of everything. Extremely clean and well organized. The property is stunning and provides an overwhelming sense of peace-We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay for my birthday weekend with our 2 boys. The hosts were very responsive and communication was easy. The cabin is beautiful! All amenities were above and beyond, very clean, and we did not want to leave! We highly recommend this stay and we will look forward to coming back!

This cabin is the absolute best! It is gorgeous, was clean and homey, and had everything we could have needed and more! It worked wonderfully for my spouse and I, as well as for our three and one year olds! Everything worked as it should and Betsy was highly available for any questions! The area is also wonderful for local activities! We enjoyed our time for a week and are already saying we’ll need to go back again!

Exceeds five stars! The best log cabin mountain getaway we’ve ever visited and we’ve been to many through the years. The location, beautiful and clean interior, as well as having every accommodation you could think of, already has us planning our next stay!

Great secluded spot!

This was a great luxury cabin nestled just outside of Shenandoah. It was big, spacious, bright and cozy. Lots of great touches and amenities in the property. We especially loved the screened in porch. Amazing spot for a relaxing getaway.

Beautiful Mountain Cabin…. the owners thought of EVERYTHING!!!! My daughter forgot her noise machine, but one was in the cabin, extra batteries available for electronics, honey sticks provided for the wonderful teas provided. One of our best Thanksgiving holidays ever

Amazing Cabin Retreat!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bear Mountain Retreat. The location is breathtaking, the hot tub and fire pit were amazing, and we even made it out to Sunset Rock a few times. The hosts were super easy to work with, were super responsive, and made sure that our stay was perfect. We will definitely be going back!

We had a wonderful New Year stay at this house. The abundance of appliances really stood out - the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. The bedrooms and fireplace area were also very well stocked, which made the stay extremely comfortable.We especially appreciated the private, secured area, which gave us peace of mind and a sense of seclusion. The hot tub was a fantastic addition and made our stay even more relaxing. Overall, it was a great place to unwind and celebrate the New Year. We would definitely recommend this property.

A Slice of Heaven on Earth

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The property was beautiful and very quiet, and the sunsets were incredible. The cabin was perfect. Very clean, organized, well stocked (including a Christmas tree for our stay!), and everything is labeled. The hosts were very communicative and checking in was a breeze. Highly recommend.

Wow wow wow!

Immaculate cabin! By far the most cleanly cabin ive seen. And not another human in sight. Truly a stunning property. Couldn’t see the mountains from the summer leaves but the property was so beautiful it didn’t matter. Thank you for such an amazing stay!
