About this property

Private, Contemporary Home with a View of Mount Snow.

Our family cottage has been privately owned since 1955. The house sits on a private acre and a half, with a partial winter view of Mount Snow. It has all the convenience of being close to the mountain without any of the noise and congestion.
In the summer it is a peaceful place to enjoy while sitting on one of two decks that wrap around the house. One can easily walk to Mount Snow and enjoy the summer events, or hike along the stream alongside the property. Golf and other activities are short drives away.
In the winter it is less than a mile from Mount Snow, easily accessible to the main base lodge. We are just a 3 minute drive to the base lodge parking lots; we are not on the MooVER Bus route. This house is a cozy ski home for a family gathering in the winter.
The house is a one floor contemporary deck house that is kid friendly, with lots of board games, WiFi, and flat screen TV with a surround sound system.
We look forward to sharing our family home with you and your family.

Great location in the woods near Mount Snow. Very secluded and peaceful. Fireplace nice on chilly nights. Could do more to address the mouse problem in kitchen; understand it's difficult with older homes, but mouse poop on counters every morning, and in the silverware drawer was a bummer. When we arrived it seemed a bear had been into the trash. It was scattered all over and a whole trash can was pulled out of the broken wooden enclosure.

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the property. The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location is excellent, with beautiful mountain views and easy access to nearby attractions. The host was responsive, and check-in was smooth.The only suggestion I have is to provide fans in the bedrooms. Although the home is in the mountains, the weekend we visited was unusually warm, and the bedrooms became quite hot at night. There were no fans available, and this wasn’t mentioned in the listing. Having a fan in each bedroom would make the stay much more comfortable during warmer summer nights.Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider staying here again.

Great Mt. Snow Stay

The house was a 4 minute drive from the mountain, which was just perfect! The fireplace was wonderful to come back to after a cold day on the mountain and there was plenty of seating for everyone in our party. The cabin is rustic, the kitchen is small but it has everything you need. Had a great stay!

Gem of a ski house!

This home was perfect for our ski vacation. Very clean and comfortable and SO close to the mountain. We loved our evenings by the fire with the great selection of board games. Would absolutely stay here again.

Cozy snowboarding trip with friends

It's a great spot to stay so close to the mountain! It's very secluded, which is what we wanted. Three best friends from growing up had a lovely, quiet weekend of snowboarding and catching up. The cabin was super cozy and clean. I’d love to book again.

This is a family home that was built by my father and mother the same year that the trails were being cut on Mount Snow. Ever since then this house has been the center of two generations of year round family fun.
It feels like home to both family and others that have rented the cottage.

Why they chose this property

This is the ideal location for the family that likes privacy and convenience at the same time. It is 2-3 minutes to Mount Snow and 25 minutes to Stratton Mountain, to enjoy 4 seasons of fun, skiing, hiking, golfing and mountain biking
The cottage is 2 1/2 hours from Boston, 1 1/2 hours from Albany and 4 hours from New York City and 6 hours from Philadelphia.

What makes this property unique

Great location that is convenient to many activities in the winter and summer. The house is on a quiet peaceful piece of land that is ideal for a family get away.
