Built in 1883 , The Pound House is one of the most historic homes in Traverse City. The Pound House is located one block from downtown and one block from Clinch Park Beach, truly one of the best locations in town. The Pound House boasts a large fenced in backyard complete with a fire pit for those wonderful Northern Michigan nights. The home has been completely renovated, including a new kitchen and bathrooms. The house has over 2,200 square feet of living space including a brand-new kitchen complete with GE Cafe appliances, gas cooktop and marble countertops. The waterfall island opens into a living room furnished with leather couches, a flat screen TV and sliding glass doors that exit to the large deck and an additional outdoor dinning table for 6. The dining room features a six person table overlooking a bay window into the expansive backyard. Off the dining room you will find another living room that features a sectional and flat screen TV. The house has 2 full bathrooms. There is a suite upstairs that features a king bedroom along with a private sitting area, a flat screen TV and two additional sleeping options. There is one downstairs bedroom which is also furnished with a king bed. The second upstairs features two bedrooms, both are furnished with king beds. Please note there are two stairwells both are indicative of the time period in which the home was built, a little bit more narrow and steep than modern homes. The house has a perfect layout for a large family to spread out or multiple families to vacation together with ample space. We look forward to hosting you!

Great location

we stayed here for a bachelorette party, and the house was the perfect size for our group of 10. prime location, everything was in walking distance, and the house and yard were gorgeous. would definitely stay again!

Perfect Traverse City place

The property was absolutely beautiful and the perfect location to explore downtown Traverse City. Steps fork downtown and the beach and a short drive to many different attractions. The property manager was easy to communicate with and made check in a breeze.
