Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you found the interior of the home clean, but I’m sorry that seeing mice outside negatively impacted your stay. I do want to clarify a few details for future guests. When I checked in with you during your stay, no concerns were communicated. I first learned of the issue after you had checked out and requested a refund. Your initial message stated that you could hear mice and it disrupted your sleep. When I asked for additional information or photos/video so I could investigate, you clarified that you had seen two mice outside during the day on the patio. We live in the Arizona desert, where occasional wildlife can appear outdoors. However, I take pest prevention very seriously. My properties receive professional pest service and inspections, and I offered to provide the most recent report from 2 weeks priors showing no rodent infestation. Instead of communicating further, you asked me not to contact you again. I then spoke with two VRBO representatives and was advised that because the concern was not reported during the stay, allowing either myself or VRBO an opportunity to investigate or address it, and there were no photos or additional information provided, a refund was not warranted from myself, nor VRBO. I’ve hosted for nearly 10 years, am a Premier Host, and have more than 500 positive reviews across my five properties. I remain committed to providing clean, comfortable, well-maintained homes and a five-star guest experience.
