Thank you very much Cuain. It was a pleasure to host you and your family.
This is a superb rental!Smooth, in person, check-in/check-out with the very friendly host. Cottage has very spacious rooms, fully functional appliances including washer and dryer. Well stocked kitchen. Location is perfect - very quiet neighborhood off of the main roads. Dark at night and quiet. It is a 1.5 km walk along The Strand to the market where you will find anything you need. 5-star review - would definitely stay again when in Dingle.
Nice cottage for exploring Dingle and surroundings
We enjoyed the uncomplicated and welcoming reception by our hosts. The house/cottage is fully equipped with nice beds and bathrooms.
Walking distance to town is 15 min. Nice view onto the bay.
Again uncomplicated checkout.
Perfect for self-catering and with children. No stairs to be climbed.

Thank you Hartwig. Glad you enjoyed your stay.
Your package arrived after you left. If you PM me your address? I will mail it to you next week.
Best regards, John.
John was very friendly and helpful. The house was spacious and well equipped. We were somewhat taken aback with the prospect of having to pay extra for electricity/oil when that was not communicated before arrival. However, John supplied firewood and didn’t charge for fuel as we used it sparingly. I think an allocation should be given for energy usage so that people know where they sit. Otherwise, a very good and comfortable option

Good evening Eoin, thank you for your review and I hope you are well. Upon check in, I clearly told you that we allocate sensible usage of utilities. In self catering it is customary to charge for these utilities as extras depending on usage. You were not charged for utilities and we did provide you with fire wood for your stay. Had I not mentioned that electricity and oil usage were to be used in consideration, you may have run the oil boiler 24/7 for 5 days . Electricity and oil usage have become expensive commodities in recent years and have to be used sensibly.

Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Bring cash
Pro: Close to town, but the house is very dated (i.e. the original flat screen TV)Con: Make sure you bring cash bc he shows up prior to checkout to read the electrical meter then charges you for electric. And never received an email, but he says he emailed me.

Our cottage is advertised as being a traditional cottage and the remark regarding a flat screen television is unjust!
We emailed the guests through the booking site as we do all our other guests stating that check in time is from 4pm and if you are to arrive later to please let us know by email, text or phone. The house was ready for check in from 4pm and we waited for over 4 hours on a Sunday and no contact from our guest. We left the key out and went home just after 8pm as we do not live in Dingle. At 8.20pm we got a call to say they had arrived at the wrong house. I gave them directions over the phone and explained where the key was etc. We prefer to meet and greet rather than key collection check in. They had no consideration regarding notifying us of a late arrival. Oil heating is our water and heating system and when guests use it with consideration we do not charge but when it is used in excess then a fee applies for oil and electricity usage which is standard practice in holiday rental of a house or cottage. We only charged her €10 euro where she should have been €30. We have been renting our cottage for over 20 years and it's a traditional rustic cottage with timber beams and floors. Our previous guest was a pleasure to host and they stayed for 10 days and had the utmost consideration for utility usage and our time. Unfortunately not everyone has consideration for their hosts. It works both ways. Regards John McKenna.
