Thank you for taking the time to review our place. Respectfully, we would love to respond. First, this is a BRAND NEW construction home with top of the line finishes and brand new appliances. The AC is wonderful and you are the first to have a complaint. We do know the backdoor was left open for hours during your stay so that definitely gave you the temperature inside the home that you complained about. It started with asking if we would make an exception for you to bring cats. We do not allow cats however made an exception based on you stating they were sick and needed medication. We charge a pet fee for every guest staying with pets, therefore we applied it to your stay. Cats produce allergens therefore we need to accommodate our next guests by properly cleaning the home and the pet fee goes to extra cleaning. Next, you messaged 4 times asking to drop items off days before your stay. You were not satisfied with my answer so I finally closed off a night on my calendar in order to accommodate you, losing a night of business. When I said "this is not a hotel" I was referring to the difficulties in arranging drop off of items prior to your stay for the guests’ protection to ensure your items are not lost. The pool chiller unfortunately the weekend you were staying was inoperable. The manufacturer was not available due to it being a weekend so we called a repair service. Repair man laughed and told me your family was enjoying the pool the entire time. This was still not satisfactory to you. When I said “this is Florida” I was referring to your knowledge of how hot it has been seeing as you are local, not as an excuse. This resulted in the pool being the same temp as every other pool in Florida. You stated the ice maker on the fridge was broken. I brought you 20lbs of ice. I never once told you to buy your own. I would have brought you more if you had stated you were having a family party and had more guests than you actually booked for. After checkout, it was found the child lock was on on the fridge and ice maker was perfectly fine. We tried everything to make you happy, to include offering a refund, and you declined. We never heard another word from you after we offered the refund so you must have enjoyed the house enough to stay and decline the refund. I am sad to see that you have misconstrued my words twice for the sake of leaving a negative review. My husband did mention his service in Afghanistan when speaking with you and that was only because he was hopeful that you would understand the pride we take in our home. It took years of sacrifice to be able to purchase this place and I treat this home and business like my baby. The commitment and dedication we put into providing great experiences to our guests should not go unnoticed and we wish we were able to have made you happy.
