Great Getaway

We spent a great 5 days here. The property was super clean, property manager was helpful, and the location and view was amazing. We would definitely like to come back here again.

A Fabulous Gulf View

Great condo .Very Close to Sarasota airport, Siesta Village, Sarasota Bay, and necessities within 10 minutes ( grocery & gas). Beach was amazing, sand like powder.

The kitchen was well stocked with glasses, plates and utensils.We used the pool several times and had it to ourselves.The TVs were a bit of a challenge to get regular cable channels, but we got them to work. Some detailed instructions would be helpful for those of us who are technologically challenged.

It was very up to date and had just about anything anyone would ever need.

We had the greatest time from the moment we pulled into the complex. The property was conveniently located to everything we wanted to see and do. The ease with which we could get back and forth to the beach was wonderful. Having designated chairs on the beach was very helpful. We could have sat on the porch all day and just enjoy the view (but then we would have missed all of the fun Siesta Key had to offer!) Our only complaint would be how sandy the area right outside the front door and elevator was. When we first arrived there was a significant amount of sand on the floor and the little seat by the window. We tried to be very mindful about not tracking sand in ourselves, which was made challenging by the sand outside our door. We will absolutely recommend this place to friends and we will for sure be back!!!! David Yeske & Beth Williams

It was our first time to Siesta Key so we didn't know what to expect, especially in the aftermath of Ian. The property sustained some damage, mostly on the building we were staying in, but it was still in great shape. Our unit was updated and nicely decorated, but you couldn't beat our sunset views! The resort is great - beautiful beach location, plenty of beach chairs for the guests, and a great game room with ping pong, air hockey, pool, and foosball - all located right off of the large pool. The pool is right off of the street, which gets a little noisy from traffic, but this is how most of the pools in Siesta Key are - at the back of the resort off of the main road. My only real complaint would be about the master bed. The mattress is very uncomfortable and just supported on rails. You feel every movement made by your sleeping partner. I ended up sleeping on the extra twin bed so that my husband and I could sleep.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Island House is the perfect place to stay. Beautiful views of the beach and Gulf from every lanai in the apartments. Just a few steps from the beach. Lanais are glassed in but can open with screens so they can be enjoyed in any weather. 14S is well-equipped and very clean. The few things that needed attention (burned out lights, slow draining sink) were taken care of promptly. We prefer first floor units but would definitely stay in this third floor unit again. IH staff are friendly, courteous and service-oriented.

Loved the Lanai where you could open the windows or use the screen. Customer service was excellent from start to finish, try friendly people at front desk. Grounds well maintained. Cons: Sand under the shelters needs to be raked . It was dirty and gross all days. That wouldn’t be hard Thor maintenance to do as it’s not a large area. A roll of paper towels at the start would be helpful.A lovely condo unit, we would book again.

The screened in porch was ideal for morning coffee and then a short walk to beach. Beach chairs are provided although an umbrella would've been nice. We bought one and left for a neighboring guest. Great vacation

We enjoyed Siesta Key very much. The condo is beautiful and has every amenity. Beaches are awesome. Only downside the beds are uncomfortable. We hope to visit again

They were in there all winter and just left so I am not sure what is going on but I do know beds are kinda hard because some guests like soft mattresses, some firm so it can be difficult at times. Nice condo with great view

The condo was very spacious and nice. Great view of beach. Not walking distance to restaurants but can ride tram to village. Beds were very hard and only enough hot water for 1 shower. We had to space showers out throughout the day which was annoying. Overall it’s a nice place.

Our Stay at The Island House

We have been coming to Siesta Key for many years. This was our first time staying at the Island House. Our unit 14-S was very clean, supplied well with essentials and nicely decorated (only slightly dated furnishings). The bathrooms and kitchen have been updated and are laid out nicely. There was a front and back deck for lounging around with lovely views of the beach and surrounding area. We did not interact with management due to Covid restrictions, but everything was ready for our arrival and check out was easy.

Olympic Training Trip in the Sun

The condo is not equipped very well. The only food was salt and pepper. No paper towels, no liquid dish soap, no hand soap in the kitchen, no toiletries, no beach towels, no cooler. The beach does have plenty of chairs for use.

Siesta Key 2020

Made travel plans pretty quick-place Exactly as it appeared good location close to the beach-we loved it! Also loved the Access to the beach chairs—only thing we didn’t like was that we couldn’t take them close to the water but totally understand why!
