This peaceful, secluded lodge sits on 5 private acres in a gated community just outside of Franklin, NC. With its sweeping 270-degree views year-round, you’ll enjoy stunning vistas from four decks, the hot tub, the sleeping swing, and every room of this upscale residence which sleeps up to 10 in 4 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. The Snug/TV room can be converted into a fifth bedroom if needed. It has a queen sleeper sofa and ensuite bathroom.

The main level of the home and two of its decks are wheelchair accessible. A queen ensuite bedroom on the main/first floor has a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.

This mountain house was absolutely gorgeous and the views were incredible from both sides of the house. The furniture is very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and bedding was high end. The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I will definitely be booking this property again.

Every time we stay at this beautiful place we can’t believe how peaceful and rejuvenating it is. I’ve got to stay anywhere in the mountains that is as nice as this. Great location.

Perfect Getaway!

We enjoyed our time at Buttercup Haven! It was the perfect spot to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. Perfect location, quiet, relaxing, beautiful home and amazing views. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Absolutely DELIGHTFUL! Highly recommend.

Great House! Amazing Views!

We would highly recommend staying at this house! We loved the views, and it was stunning inside and out! We went with four couples, and each couple had their own room and bathroom. It was perfect! Clear instructions and great communication with the host as well.

Summertime Mountain Vacay

What an incredibly beautiful home and grounds! Beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything we needed. Breathtaking views of the mountains from 4 different comfortable porches perfect for gathering and sipping cocktails. Directions and check in were easy and well laid out. Beautiful Getaway

The scenery is fantastic with wonderful views all around the property. This home is decorated with much thought and great taste. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine for cooking better than any home I’ve vacationed in before. All the light switches are labeled which was very helpful. Beautiful vacation home.

Family reunion in the mountains

Can’t say enough great things about Buttercup Haven. Every detail has been considered for what you would need. Beautiful views. Beautiful home. Sunset on one side of the house annd sunrise on the other. The views were part of the entertainment ! Our host was amazing at communication. We will be back!

Great upscale mountain getaway

Outstanding! Great space inside and amazing views! Appliances and furnishings are excellent. 7 adults and two toddlers… plenty of space. We were there for Thanksgiving, so did a good bit of cooking. Best equipped kitchen I have seen in a rental. Great appliances and pots/pans/tools.

Fantastic experience at Buttercup Haven

My family of six had a wonderful stay at Buttercup haven. The home was immaculate when we arrived and the host made everything easy for arrival and departure. The setting is spectacular with terrific views from both sides of the main floor and the hot tub. The home is beautifully furnished and is very comfortable, particularly the well appointed kitchen. This has to be one of the best short term rental experiences in this part of the country and we hope to experience it again.

I fell in love with NC when my husband to be first brought me to Franklin in 1982 to meet his mother and extended family. Since then, I have learned much about my mother-in-law's connection to the area, including the fact that her father's family were among the first white settlers to Franklin. Our family has strong ties to the area, even though we are not permanent residents. I always look forward to my stays at Buttercup Haven and especially enjoy sharing my home with family, friends, and guests.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with this property because of its unique location, its beauty, the tranquility of the outdoors, and the magnificent views from every room. The post and beam home has been built with amazing care and attention to detail. Since I purchased Buttercup Haven in late 2012, new furnishings have been added throughout the home.

In recent years, the exterior has been updated with a new color palette, the addition of entry gates, and annual updates to the landscaping, making the yard today a haven for butterflies as well as humans! Additional seating has been added to the outdoor areas.

Buttercup Haven is a home that I personally enjoy with family and friends, as well as a growing number of returning guests.
