Charming “Langtree Cottage” expansive shorefront patio, beach on quiet wide cove

Langtree Cottage is our family’s happy place and we would like to share it with you! This stunning lakefront home has an excellent location on the southeastern end of Lake Norman. The closest lakefront vacation rental to Davidson and Cornelius you will find. The property provides a quiet retreat for friends and families to gather but is only 25 minutes to downtown Charlotte! We are also located adjacent to the beautiful Venue at Langtree and are a perfect place for wedding guests or your wedding party.

Situated on a peaceful street, this cottage looks out onto a beautiful wide cove. Stretching along the lakefront is a broad patio and beach. The lakefront patio is furnished with dining table and chairs as well as lounge chairs with side tables and multiple rolling umbrellas! The sandy beach area has 8 comfy Adirondack chairs surrounding a large Firepit with a copper lid which doubles as a useful table. A perfect place for an evening gathering after a day in the lake.

Off the patio is a spacious dock with a boat slip and a large lounge area/ swimming platform. The protected cove is a perfect place for swimming and paddle boarding, but the main water is just two homes up for those venturing further out. The property also includes a sought-after boat launch ramp. A great place to launch provided kayaks or guests can bring their own boats for easy access. The dock will accommodate guest's boats or rental boats.

The interior of this cottage is all new! The home was designed for lake life, with an open plan and lots of windows that let the sunlight pour in and provide spectacular water views. The main floor has hardwood throughout and well-appointed kitchen and baths with all new appliances, fixtures, and finishes. The rooms are decorated in a comfortable, modern cottage style.

Once entering the front door you will see the beautiful lake view! The main floor has a large living room and dining area open to an expansive kitchen. The cushioned banquet with large corner windows is a favorite place to dine and hang out!

A spacious, inviting main deck beckons you to relax and enjoy the gentle lake breezes, perfect for lounging with a morning coffee or unwinding in the evening.

Also on the main floor are three comfortable bedrooms and three baths. The primary King bedroom has a gorgeous lake view and an attached bath- including a freestanding tub with a lake view! A second bright queen bedroom also has an attached bath and the third double twin bedroom has a large adjacent bath with double vanities. If needed, there is a laundry room off the kitchen.

The lower floor also has wonderful expansive views of the lake! The large Lower Lounge has comfortable furniture and is open to the kitchen and Daybed room and has large windows and doors leading to a covered lower patio. The Daybed room can be closed off at night with privacy curtains for a cozy bedroom! The lower lounge provides a great way for guests to spread out…or works great as a dedicated TV/play area for the kids! The covered patio is another peaceful area to sit out on the lounge chairs and enjoy the lake or watch kids playing in the yard. An enclosed shower on the patio comes in handy on those long lake days!

The lower level also has a beautiful King bedroom with a lakeview, a fun bunk room that sleeps four, an extra large double vanity bathroom, and additional laundry.

There is boat storage room with interior as well as exterior access off the back yard. We provide lots of options for fun on the lake! Three paddleboards, two kayaks, large inflatable rafts, life preservers, and other lake floats and toys as well as a cornhole set for guests to enjoy.

We are committed to providing a wonderful fun place for friends and family to gather while remaining respectful of our neighbors. The home is not intended to be used as a party or event house, so we strictly adhere to our occupancy policy. There is a limit of up to 8 overnight guests, and 4 additional “day visitors”. Only 12 people total are allowed in the home / at the property at any one time unless we give prior written approval.

There is a video doorbell at the front door and a rear camera near the roof in back aimed at lake for security.

Our minimum age to rent is 30 years old. If a group of young adults are visiting, we require all guests in the party to be 30 years old. ID verification must be provided by guests if requested.
