We had an absolutely wonderful stay for 4 nights for the second week at Jazzfest. It was so cool and cozy and such a great place to relax after long days on our feet. Herb is super friendly and very easy to get in contact with especially when there were last minute schedule changes with Jazzfest that prompted us to get there a little earlier than anticipated. In addition to the very comfortable bed, there’s a perfect sitting room, spacious bathroom and alley kitchen all with fantastic decor, so it really felt like home for our stay. I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the beautiful backyard oasis as well! Would highly recommend (and already have) Herb’s place for your next stay.
Fantastic stay! The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near many attractions in New Orleans. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, making our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
We only stayed one night, but Herb was a perfect host. The apartment was clean with lots of nice details- snacks, amazing garden out back…. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Our host was amazing and had all kinds of great recommendations for food, basic supplies, etc. Five star quality bed and other amenities. We slept like babies in amazing comfort.
This property was everything my wife and I needed for our anniversary trip to New Orleans. Herb was great and knew all the local spots to hit. I highly recommend this to anyone who is wanting to stay in the Big Easy.
Quaint, historic property that felt like home. Herb was friendly and knowledgeable. He provided us with information about local restaurants and fun places to visit. We would highly recommend for location, comfort, and friendliness of our host and his property.
Herb was such a great host, and quite friendly. I truly enjoyed the history of the house as well as the quiet neighborhood. Close enough to all the amenities that New Orleans has to offer. Great city park within a couple miles for an enjoyable quiet day. Highly reccomend this destination if you are looking for a quiet, but enjoyable visit to New Orleans. Great accomodations, bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever had slept in. Was a very enjoyable stay.
We had the best time! The house was so charming and relaxing. I really enjoyed the backyard with all the plants and pond. Herb was super nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m in New Orleans.
Beautiful property. Really got a feel for what it would be like to live in this area. Weather was perfect in March and Herb was a great host! Best ever visit to New Orleans .
Great property, location and host! The very best of New Orleans. Property had everything needed, is wonderfully decorated/appointed and comfortable. Herb is gracious and knowledgable. One of the best (if not the best) rental experience we have had. Will definitely stay again!

Thanks for your great review and for sharing what we strive to provide our guests - clean, comfortable, well-appointed and designed accommodations at a reasonable price for their travel dollar. You and Chris were the best-of-the-best to meet and host, and I look forward to hosting y’all again.
Beautiful property a tiny oasis all to yourselves. It is a stunning property The owner is super pleasant has thought of everything to make it cozy and is happy to give tips on where to go in New Orleans. Couldn't have found a better place to stay. Only downside is the bed is too firm for me but I'm used to a super soft bed.
Herb was a great, knowledgeable host with a beautiful historic property featuring the most amazing backyard.
We couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay that meet our needs. The neighborhood, close proximity to many great restaurants, history, charm*...We will return.

Thanks so much for your great review! It was so good to meet and host you and Vincent, and we’d be elated to welcome you amazing folks back to the Lagniappe Suite.
Herb greeted us upon arrival, had suggestions for local places to eat and tips for visiting the city. Herb is very knowledgeable, considerate and kind. Property is beautiful and NOT haunted. Can’t wait to go back and drink wine in the garden.
My stay here met and far exceeded my expectations!
Thank you, Herb, for creating such a warm and welcoming space.
Every need was met and I will definitely book again!

Thanks Gillian for your review. "Exceeding expectations" of our guests at a fair and reasonable price point is our goal and was the basis of the name "The Lagniappe Suite".
Lagniappe (pronounced LAN-yap) is a term brought to us by the Louisiana French adapting a word brought in to New Orleans by the Spanish Creoles, meaning "a little extra"! Mark Twain wrote about the word "lagniappe" in a chapter on New Orleans in his 1883 "Life on the Mississippi", calling it "a word worth traveling to New Orleans to get". You're always welcome back at The Lagniappe Suite!
Herb was a welcoming host for our 4-night stay in New Orleans. The property was an historic home in a safe neighborhood. Herb provided everything we needed for a great stay. We were 1 mile from the City Park, NOMA, Trolly to the French Quarter snd much more. We did a day trip to Chalmett, snd thoroughly enjoyed the area.
