This charming historical farmhouse with gorgeous waterfront and side views is located at the end of a beautiful ocean bay in Addison Maine. Absorb positive energy from the large tides that constantly change the view for you. Walk or bicycle to Crowley Island, a natural bird preserve and don't forget your camera, the area beaches are just minutes away and connect to trails with breathtaking views. It offers a charming dining and living room, eat in kitchen complete , a cozy library full of books including a children's section, board games, puzzles (a Maine favorite) and over 100 DVDs for a relaxing movie night. Tourist pamphlets and local restaurant menus are kept on premises to help you plan your days and nights. You will be just minutes away from grocery stores, local fisheries, restaurants, gift shops (Blueberry Land) and beaches. We love this property and the house. Kids enjoyed playing in the ocean...even if they got bit up by mosquitoes. The host was wonderful and we were able to easily communicate. I would stay here again.

Thanks Khristina! It sounds like you made some wonderful memories! I love that!😊
The house is decorated with sea bird figures as well as paintings that celebrate the sea and some classic literature. The library room is a wonderful treat in evenings if you enjoy reading, but there is a small theatre upstairs where you can watch movies or play chess. The barn offers four kayaks and a dozen bicycles for recreation. The view of the bay and the 12 foot tide engages everyone who has the privilege of being there. The local villages are very friendly and helpful.

It was an absolute pleasure to share the house, the conversation and the laughs with you. I still smile when I see the geese.😂. Thank you for being the perfect guests! I hope you stay in touch😊
We absolutely loved our stay at Liz’s beautiful historic farmhouse! Liz was incredibly easy to communicate with and by the time we arrived it felt like we had been friends forever! She checked in on us during our stay and even offered us an extra night. Unfortunately, we had to get back to work, but what a thoughtful and generous offer! The farmhouse was wonderful. We loved its history and charm and it had everything we could possibly need—and I mean EVERYTHING! It was clean, comfortable, cozy, and so well stocked that the only things we needed to buy were food and of course, lobster and more lobster! The location is what really made this place special. We spent so much time at the picnic table right on the water, having our morning coffee, eating lunch, watching the birds, and seeing an eagle every day that we named Eddie III! We watched the tides come and go, walked along the rocks, and enjoyed the geese making their daily trek through the property. Waking up with the water right outside our bedroom window was incredibly peaceful.Everyone in town is extremely friendly and the neighbors often stopped to chat. There is plenty to explore nearby—beautiful beaches, amazing scenery, fresh lobster right off the boats, places for shell hunting and gift shops featuring handmade Maine goods. If you want a peaceful, authentic Down East Maine experience, this is the place! Liz was wonderful and the farmhouse has so much character. We made wonderful memories here!
We had a wonderful time! The house is charming, clean, and fully stocked with all the necessities. Check-in was simple and Liz was very communicative during our stay. We will definitely be back again!
This is my family's favorite place to stay. It's always so peaceful and we have plenty of outdoor activities. The owner is always very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. We love it!
This was our second time staying at Elizabeth's place. The house has a nice view, a comfortable setting, is well stocked, and is spacious. More importantly, Elizabeth is a great host. She is very welcoming and accommodating. We're glad that we returned!
Always a beautiful and well kept property. It includes a well stocked kitchen, included bikes, and other equipment. The host is always responsive and happy to provide area tips. We come back every year!
Thanks! Yes ! I’d love to see your paintings! Maybe you can send some pictures 😊The area is picture perfect and a peaceful place for artists☺️Thank you again
Loved the house and its location. Dealing with Elizabeth was a joy. The three times we have stayed here shows just how much we cherish this house. If you are looking for peace and tranquility this house should be on your list.
We had a great stay here. The view was incredible!! We have family in the area so didn’t spend a lot of time at the house but when we were there it met all of our needs. My son (11) was thrilled to see bikes for him to borrow. Elizabeth was great to communicate with very thoughtful in prepping her home and the items available for us to use. Would stay her again.
Quiet and secluded. The house is much bigger that we expected. We bought fresh lobster from Look Lobster Co in the morning and cooked them in the evening. The house had everything we needed to do this.
Our stay reminded us of how lucky we were to grow up in that area. We were there for a family wedding and all worked out perfectly. Liz was very responsive whenever I sent a question along. Would highly recommend!
Loved the beautiful old home, loved the location! By far the best vacation we have had as a family. Loved that the home came well stocked with any thing we could have needed, and thoroughly enjoyed the bikes and kayaks provided. My husband and I are already looking at dates for next summer to book this home again.

Why they chose this property
This is a very inviting house full of positive energy. It is beautifully balanced, peaceful and safe. Cross the street to stone steps that lead to a picnic area and watch the changing tides, Maine wildlife and reversing falls. By the time the water reaches the Captains House the sun warms it up making it nice for swimming and kayaking. Historians say the salt water pond next to the house was a great swimming area for local children. Area beaches are beautiful, picturesque and great for finding little treasures. You will usually have them all to yourself. semi-private and only minutes away!
What makes this property unique
Go back in time, escape the rest of the world and relax! A great getaway. The ocean gives positive energy and strength. The tides are large and fun to watch. The "reversing falls" are right across the street. Swim in the warmer salt water pond next to the house.
