Seventy-one steps from the front door to the Gulf. Palm Cay 5 is a Holmes Beach vacation rental updated in 2025 with a new kitchen, upgraded bathrooms, and fresh furnishings throughout. The beach is right there.

The townhome sleeps six across three bedrooms. The primary suite has a king bed. The second bedroom has a king bed. The third bedroom has two twin beds — the right configuration for families with kids or two guests who need their own space. Two full bathrooms throughout.

The kitchen has new appliances, sleek countertops, and everything needed for full meals at home. The open-concept living area connects naturally to the dining space. High-speed WiFi included.

The complex has a large heated pool just steps from the unit and on-site coin laundry for the week's beach clothes. The free
Anna Maria Island trolley stops nearby. Publix and local restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Palm Cay 5 requires a one-week minimum stay with parking for two vehicles. Not pet-friendly.

Condo unit was on the main road and was right by the pool which meant that there were people right outside your window a lot of the time. however it was a comfortable unit about a block from the beach. would rent again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very quiet condo complex. #5 unit is on the backside of the building on Gulf Drive. We couldn't hear traffic at all at night. Nice, heated pool. Clean and cute condo. Kitchen well-supplied for cooking. Beach, Publix, shopping and restaurants all a short walk. Plenty of parking. Two story unit with a floor bedroom and bath (with hall access for anyone) that is nice for elderly guests.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been coming to AMI for the last 8 years and have stayed in this unit the last three. We enjoy the location, which is a bit quieter, and the updates made after our first stay were nice as they were definitely needed. A few things that are drawbacks based on what the cost has increased to are: kitchen appliances (dated and not working great - fridge water doesn’t really work, ice maker in freezer is barely hanging on and stove top burners don’t all work), sink in master bathroom didn’t drain well and the selection of items for the beach that are mentioned in the listing are a bit old and many items were broken just sitting in the closet. We would stay again for the convenience factor but it would be great to see some further updates to the unit that would make it 5 stars.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It wasn't bad, definitely feel that we got our money's worth. The keys wouldn't work when we got there :/ and luckily my mom was with us and has Verizon because our T-Mobile phones wouldn't work at the condo. There is mold problem in the showers or something because every time my husband took one (in either shower), it set his allergies off (hes allergic to mold). The downstairs thermostat needed the batteries changed or something because it didn't work properly... my parents kept it set on 60, but it never dropped below 76. Otherwise, things were good :) Wish we would have found the extra towels before the last day (BTW they're under the bathroom sink). The short, easy walk to beach was WELL worth it! We've never been that close before and loved it - even with 2 seniors, 2 kids, and a bunch of **** to carry.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental pics are completely accurate. There’s a big lower level LR with a big sectional sofa that shares space with the kitchen. Theres a high boy counter with stools so people can eat there or at the table that seats 6. There’s a main floor queen bedroom with tv that over looks the pool and a nice big bathroom for that floor. Upstairs there’s 2 bedrooms. One with 2 twin beds and a tv and another bedroom with a king sized bedroom and large closet. Every bedroom has dresser/closet space. The 2nd floor has a very large bathroom. There’s also a sectional sofa in the 2nd floor LR with a tv/bar area with a small fridge and even a desk for anyone working remotely. The entire unit is right next to the pool but there were never any issues with noise. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking stuff, plates, glasses, silverware. There are not many condiments or cleaning supplies. So plan to get the toilet paper, napkins, paper towels and even garbage bags for the week. The unit is a very short block from the beach. Might take you 1 to 2 minutes max to get there. The beds, pillows and bedding were all phenomenal! I traveled with me and my teen/young adult kids. There was enough space for everyone and some nights someone slept on a sofa to not share a room and there was no complaints. Great great unit!! Not sure if all in Palm Cay are this nice but unit #5 is great!!

Summer Family Getaway June 2021

This was my family’s second trip to Palm Cay. We have stayed in two different units, and both experiences have been wonderful. You cannot beat the location - One minute walk to the sand! Also very convenient for getting groceries, restaurant meals, and souvenirs. Palm Cay #5 is the perfect size for one to two families staying together. Family of four stayed upstairs, and set of grandparents stayed downstairs, more than enough space for everyone to spread out. We really love the pool especially after a hot day at the beach. The kitchen is stocked with all of the utensils you could possibly need. Linens and towels are good quality. Lots of extra blankets and pillows are stocked in the closets. There is even a large drying rack which is great for wet bathing suits and towels since there is not a washer or dryer in the unit (but there is a quarter washer and dryer in the laundry room next to the pool ). Kitchen seats 6 people and is nice! No toiletries or things like salt and pepper are provided, so either pack everything you could possibly need or do a Publix run as soon as you arrive. A starter pack of a roll of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, Travel size dish soap, some dishwasher pods, and a few garbage bags are provided, but nothing else. It sure would be nice if management could provide a little more. Furniture most definitely needs updating and it’s not very comfortable. It is obvious that it’s been used a lot over the years and really needs to be replaced. The unit is not as well decorated or pretty to look at as some of the other units on property, but that is not a big deal if you spend most of your time outside. If you are looking for a quiet, convenient, spacious place for families, this is the ideal location. We will be back.

Pool is great, warm and clean. Short block to the beautiful beach, did a lot of walking and sunset viewing. Met cool people at the pool. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Love Anna Maria Island! Maintenance was prompt and helpful with a couple issues, TV's were a challenge to use, but I think it is the cable in the area that is part of the issue. As a note, the king mattress in the master probably needs to be retired, not comfortable. The others seemed fine.

The furniture (living area) is worn out and uncomfortable, the ceiling fans are so wobbly, they look like they are going to fly off the mountings. The carpet on the staircase is filthy, it looks like it’s never been vacuumed. This would be a great space with some major updates.
