NEW - Historic Landmark log cabin on Merced River<br>
Historic Landmark Log Cabin located alongside the Merced River, 21 miles outside of Mariposa and 10 miles from the Arch Rock entrance of Yosemite National Park. The space Miner James D. Savage established a bona fide trading post just outside Yosemite Valley near El Portal back in 1849. These days, wonderfully rebooted, it serves as a unique vacation property, which is ideal for families, friends, and couples. The lovely Log Cabin is a cozy one-bedroom cabin ideal for honeymooners or those who want a romantic getaway— or for a writer finishing a book or memoir, actually. The spacious one-bedroom cabin sits right along a flowing river and includes a prominent living room, kitchen, dining area, Jacuzzi tub, and more. There is also a queen bed in the open space. The Log Cabin at Savages is designed for cozy comfort after a fun day in nature.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is close to Yosemite, which was convenient. The backyard patio was a beautiful spot right along the river. The only negatives were two unanswered questions asked of the host, and we had mice eating packaged food on the counter (also mouse poop on the counter, on the refrigerator, and around the hot tub). Even with the negatives, we would stay there again.
Wonderful property on the Merced River flowing by your own backyard patio. Cozy decor reflecting the mountain lifestyle. Jessie, our host, was quick to respond to our questions and requests. We were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and this cabin made our experience memorable in every way.
We LOVED this property!! It is spacious and comfortable. We slept great here. We loved the patio space. It was convenient to the park entrance. I really dislike leaving any public negative comments and am very sad to say that the communication was not good on the front end which made me very nervous. However, once we arrived, it was okay.

Disliked: Check-in, communication
Great place. Poor communication.
The primary is delightful and exactly as advertised. However, the owner failed to give us the information we needed to access the property at check in. Very frustrating!
