About the host

Host profile image
This area of the Burren was so special to us for its music, beautiful walks, stunning coastline and warm friends and neighbours We would love to have you join us on your next holiday to Ireland.

Why they chose this property

My late husband and I both fell in love with the area before we met each other and by the time I met Sean, he had found and bought all two walls, a chimney and a half acre of wilderness. He had left it sit for a few years until I came along. Then together with help from good friends we slowly renovated the cottage. To be honest the whole place has been a labour of love. We were always planning and scheming about what needs doing next. Sean passed away in 2021 but I continue to live and love Aisling for all the wonderful memories it has provided and the good times to come.

What makes this property unique

One of the first thing that seems to appeal to our guests time and time again is the warm peaceful energy that the cottage and garden holds. The cottage has always been a home for creative people it is a place that feeds and inspires the imagination.
Amongst the top five things that visitors like to do while visiting the Burren is a guided walk with Mary O Dea Hidden Burren Walks
These guided walks are lead by a women who can trace her Burren roots back eight generations. Her knowledge of the traditional methods of Farming and protecting this special area makes a walk a wonderful experience and a must for anyone who wants to get the inside track on Burren life past and present.
