Great time with family

This place was a great place for the family to gather! We were able to all hang out and eat together! We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and hang out on the decks. There was plenty of room for all of the family to sit and visit as well. All the rooms were large and we never felt cramped. The house was great!

Perfect Getaway

The layout of the home is perfect. It provides large open spaces for gathering while offering private bedrooms on the lower level to allow for some quiet time. Beautifully decorated and furnished. We will be back!!!!

Great house!

The house was beautiful, with all the amenities! The owners were available and super easy to work with. I would definitely stay at this property again. I saw a review that mentioned road noise was an issue; it was absolutely NO issue at all! We never noticed any noise and loved every minute of our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of linens, fantastic kitchen, great porch, great communication. I think our favorite was the beach was virtually private because there are so few homes in the subdivision. The only things we didn't enjoy were the pool (it was very clean) and then the long walk and drive to the beach. We had to rent a golf cart for my parents and small children which turned that negative into a positive. Thanks for letting us rent!

Perfect for us!

The property floor plan was designed perfectly for our family ages 8-73. Games at the dinning table with a wonderful view. No obstructions. The kitchen was very well stocked. We could have used a couple more empty panty shelves to unpack our personal food & supplies. The owner quickly replied to all my questions. The location was quiet except for construction in the area. We can happily recommend it.

Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Port Aransas. House is well maintained, clean, kitchen has everything you need, view from decks are beautiful and the floor plan made the house very comfortable for our group. We’ve been taking a family beach vacation for 10 years and every time we head home there’s always been a few things we wished the house had. We talked about it last night (on the deck) and everyone agreed Villa Pamplona had it all. Thanks to our hosts we had a great week. See you next year!

Another Great Stay

Annual family beach vacation to Villa Pamplona was a great time had by all. We really put the house to the test this year as a tropical storm hit near Port A. We had 2 days of staying inside but the house is so comfortable it wasn’t an issue at all. Beach was closed a few days so we spent time at the pool which is really clean and the kids loved it. The house is spotless and well maintained. The deck areas look out at the gulf, have tons of seating and that’s where we found ourselves morning, noon and especially night. We had 9 in our group and the kitchen had everything needed to fix breakfast, lunch and dinner for large groups. Location is perfect, roughly 7-10 minutes from downtown so we would run in town for dinner then get back to the deck and watch the sunset. Thanks Read you guys have built the perfect beach house!!

Great Family Time

We booked the property a month in advance to have the family all together and enjoy some sunny beach weather little did we know it would storm all weekend. But, that was OK because the house was so roomy for the 13 of us and we enjoyed lots of family time with games, movies and lots of eating . We did do some fishing off the back bottom porch that was nice. Didn't catch anything but we were totally OK with it. We had a great time and the house was spacious well stocked with amenities and even when you plan to have beach days and you are stuck in the house I couldn't imagine a better house to big stuck in. Our host was very gracious and communication was great. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

BEAUTIFUL HOME!

We gathered our family in Port Aransas to lay our mom to rest. I’m so glad we stayed at Villa Pamplona! The home was clean, very spacious, and relaxing. All the bedrooms were large and very comfortable! We grilled on the lower deck, ate on the second deck and sunned on the third deck. My family was very comfortable. We plan on gathering there again. Thank you Reed! The home was so perfect! Thank you so much for being so accommodating and very responsive! I’m very grateful for you and especially for the early check in due to all the flowers we brought. I plan on staying again but for a happier occasion. Blessings to you and your family!

Away from the chaos of 4th of July

This was our 6th year at this house and once again, they made it better. We loved the new twin over queen bunks in the bunk room. House was clean and smelled great. Boys easily caught fish in the pond out back. Even with the 4th of July weekend crowds in Port A, we we’re still able to spread out nicely on the beach and not get mixed up in all the chaos. We love this location. Owner is super responsive and obviously takes pride in his awesome home. User tips- Bring your own bath soap. And the bridge to the beach is no longer golf cart friendly (since hurricane rebuild with stairs instead of ramp). We will be back!

Large House. Well equipped

The house was clean and spacious for our group of 11. Beds were comfortable and wifi was handy. The beach is close and can be accessed by the private access bridge. The walk is a little far, especially if you have a lot to carry to the beach, but still is a nice walk. If you can bring your own UTV it would be very handy as you'll be able to use it to go over the bridge which would be handy with the kids and all the stuff for the beach. If you use your vehicle to drive to the beach, the access roads are 2 miles for the one toward Corpus and about 3 miles to the one toward Port Aransas. Takes about 15 minutes to drive down to access roads and back along beach to park in front of neighborhood. The pool was great and handy to have nice bathrooms just a short walk from beach. The only issue we had was the dishwasher not working but everything else was in good condition. The decks are nice but very noisy because the house is right on Hwy 361. Nice at night when there is less traffic.

Beautiful Home

The house is as listed. There is so much space that someone in our group was always looking for someone. Three decks to enjoy. All the beds were comfortable and the owner has thought of everything. So pack light. The owner was amazing to communicate with but has everything outlined so everything is clear. The beach is really busy when you drive on, but go down to where the house is and it’s perfect just waiting for you. There was a oil leak on Friday so the kids were covered in like tar, spill prevention was out on the beach and told us baby oil would take it off and it did, the next morning the beach was clean like it never happened. If your looking for a place to enjoy a big group the decks, kitchen and the bedrooms were amazing. The WiFi worked great and the kids had no issues with finding what they wanted on the tv at night. There is a resident duck that hung out by the bottom deck the whole time and the kids kayaking right there was nice. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Nice recovery from the storm

We have been staying at the house for years and were concerned about the Hurricane damage/recovery. I was very happy to see that practically the whole house had been updated and almost everything was better than before when I gave it 5 stars. There were a couple fixes left but nothing that interfered with our trip in any way. We had 3 families with kids and never felt cramped, had plenty of nice bathrooms, and lots to keep us occupied while not at the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed but bring your own paper products and supplies - they have enough to just get you started. The bedding was comfortable for all and washer/dryer were great. The house is a bit of a walk to the beach but the five-year-old with us made it with no problem. Once at the beach, you have a fabulous, uncrowded, clean beach to spread out on. And no need to head back to the house during the day - there’s a real bathroom, sink, outdoor shower, and pool right over the sand dunes. We drove our canopies, coolers, and chairs down to the beach in the morning and then picked them up in the evening. I highly recommend this house and the owners and plan to return next year.

Snarky property manager / owner

I recently stayed at this property, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. To begin with, the property was falsely advertised. The listing promised a game room and a jetted tub, neither of which exist. This felt like a deliberate attempt to mislead potential renters. To make matters worse, two of the televisions didn't work. When I brought this to the attention of the property owner/manager, their response was snarky and unhelpful, making the situation even more frustrating. Cleanliness was another major issue. I found a previous visitor's socks under the couch and coke cans under the bed. This lack of attention to basic cleanliness is unacceptable. Overall, this property is nice but his sarcastic remarks to solve issues was a huge letdown. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made. We had to ignore the issues and lack of professionalism in order to enjoy our stay.

These were the worst renters I have ever had. They were clearly aiming the entire time to complain to get their stay for free. They initially rented the home for two nights. Then a couple weeks before their arrival wanted two more nights. I had no issue except they wanted the two additional nights for 75% off. Once I declined, she had an issue with me not wanting to extend her stay two extra nights. The listing states that there are games for kids, not a game room. There are pictures of every room in the house and there is nowhere to even state that there is a jetted tub. Again, all pictures are updated as of this year. All televisions are in working order but they could just not get two of them connected to the internet because of user error. I walked them through it over the phone until they got them connected. My internet app confirmed all was connected. They then confirmed that all televisions were working and further stated that the home was very clean and there were no issues. They were the rudest people I ever had encountered as they berated me and passed the phone back and forth yelling about two of the TVs not already being connected to the internet and that they had to take time out of their vacation to do connect them. I wish I could show the texts messages proving my case. They asked for money back and threatened to leave me a bad review if I didn't. I have been blackmailed and I can't believe VRBO allows things like this to happen without recourse.

Great Week near Port Aransas

Vacation week for my husband and myself, two daughters, a son in law, and grandchildren, an 18 yr old girl and 16 yr old boy. Came prepared with 4 kayaks, fishing poles, and plans for lots of R & R. Definitely would recommend Villa Pamploma. House is large with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms. —Lower level is parking. We were excited to use the garages when we saw the pictures of the home. However, those are reserved for the owners use. Know to ask more questions in the future. —2nd level has 4 bedrooms with 3 baths. Also a very nice laundry room with a brand new washer. We were in the midst of doing laundry our Second evening there-a Sunday. Suddenly, there was this awful noise that could be heard all over the house. My daughter did a video which we sent to owner, Reed, at 8;30 the next morning. To our pleasure and amazement, we had a brand new washer delivered by Wednesday pm. An outstanding response to a call no owner wants to receive!! 3rd level—Kitchen is large with a 4 station eating bar, and a large table and gathering space with big TV attached. Kitchen was very well equipped, particularly for a rental property. Lots of different kitchen gadgets!! Largest King bedroom with nice bath that included a rain shower. Also a half bath on this level for general use. The Beach is just a short walk away. The neighborhood is a quiet one—no giant condo complexes. If it’s too hot for the beach, the pool is about halfway to the beach!! To sum it up, we had fabulous time!!

This was our 4th stay and we always have such a fantastic time. The house accommodates all our families easily, the upper deck is amazing for stargazing; lots of shooting stars and the downstairs deck is always so fun for the kids because it’s right by the pond.
