So pleased we found this place. It was a perfect weekend getaway for grandparents and kids. The children loved the hikes in the woods and along the creek. We planned a marshmallow roast but the weather didn’t cooperate. That’s okay. Memories were made. Mission accomplished.
WE WERE CELEBRATING OUR 17TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND IT WAS GREAT. WE SPENT ALOT OF TIME ON THE FRONT PORCH COULDNT ASK FOR MORE. VERY PEACFULL WEEKEND.
Very clean and comfortable cabin, well equipped and easy access ,close to everything, enjoyed the screened in deck and creek. Good communication with host.
We really enjoyed our stay at Harold’s Mine Creek Retreat. Very clean cabin with everything we needed. The porch was my favorite! We stayed out there for hours enjoying the sound of the creek and listening to the birds. My husband and I have back problems so a good bed is important. We slept great in the king sized bed. No issues at all with our stay and we would definitely return!
Great cabin with all the amenities. The host was very informative and responsive to any questions. We especially enjoyed sharing our vacation with our dogs! The location is excellent with lots of outdoor activities and shopping nearby. Great views and creekside as well.
Perfect place for a relaxing getaway. I cannot say enough great things about this cabin or the area it is in. The cabin is perfectly decorated, has an amazing screened in porch and deck that overlooks the creek, is in a quite location but is close to everything that Maggie Valley and the surrounding area has to offer. The fully stocked kitchen makes cooking a breeze. The cabin is pet friendly so that was a huge bonus for us. The hosts are just as amazing. They are excellent communicators and just good people. We cannot wait to stay here again in the near future.
My family enjoyed staying at this wonderful house. The beds were the best and hard to crawl out of in the mornings :). We loved the porch so much. Thanks for a great place and location to stay!
Fantastic communication with the host - extremely responsive. Listing is accurate, cabin was very clean and well stocked. I do wish that the ice trays had been filled so ice was ready when we arrived since there is no icemaker, but all in all, we found what we needed. Bed was comfortable. The shining star is THAT CREEK! So special to watch and hear the sound of falling water.
We were so fortunate to get snow while we were there. Also the day after it snowed we rode through some country rodes in Maggie and saw several elk. So for our 53rd anniversary we had a great time.
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. The location was beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed. Loved that we could bring our little fur baby!
My husband and I, along with our dog, spent 3 nights. We were happy with the attention to detail and the care put into this property. Some examples are: leaving bug spray and umbrellas for guests to use. The filtered water pitcher in the fridge. Night lights. The bed, pillows and living room furniture were all comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and organized. We enjoyed the screened in porch and enclosed deck. The neighbors are close. With that being said, we pulled up the steep driveway late in the evening and heard music from a neighbor, but once inside, it was quite and we couldn't hear them at all.
This pet friendly home is perfect for 1-4 people. The house feels fairly secluded, has an amazing deck and screened in porch, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook. Pretty close to trails, the blue ridge parkway, and restaurants. And comfy beds!
This property was perfect for our 5 week getaway from the heat of Florida. We spent a lot of time on the screened porch. House was well stocked with basic necessities to get started.
Cabin was clean, easy to access and centrally located for many activities. It was well stocked with all the things we needed. Loved the screened in porch with ceiling fan. Very relaxing with the sounds of the creek running along side of cabin. Owners were great to communicate with us and check on our needs. We would definitely return for another visit!
The owners put a lot of thought into this cabin. The amenities were great.
We traveled with small dogs and I felt very comfortable with them not escaping. That's always a concern. I would highly recommend this cabin and we plan to revisit.
