This cabin was exactly perfect for our patry of 3. It was exactly as described in Vrbo and owner couldn't have been any nicer. It had everything we needed for our weeks stay including a very nice hot tub! Would definitely recommend for a couple or small family.

Great little cabin with convenient location. We skied Cataloochee one day and took a day trip to Asheville the next. Easy access to both! The price point and location were the reason we stayed. Great value!

We came to Maggie Valley to visit family and this beautiful cabin worked perfect for my husband and I. It was very clean, comfortable, and cozy and it was less than 10 minutes from where my husbands uncle lives, whom we came to visit. We enjoyed the hot tub, and relaxing in the cozy living room watching tv. WiFi was fast and the Roku tv with YouTube TV access was very nice! Communication with Jane, the host, was easy and she was very informative and responsive. We didn’t have any issues, she just called us to let us know some painting had been done and wanted to be sure we got checked in okay. A few things to note are this is a gated community of cabins/cottages, which is nice! However, there isn’t trash disposal or trash cans in the community, which is explained in the listing details. You have to take your trash to a waste management facility, but it’s only 10 minutes away and just a very minor inconvenience. We knew that up front because it is plainly stated, and probably a necessity to keep bears and wildlife at bay, I’m sure. Also, we had to wash, dry and put away all dishes. Most places we have rented in the past only require you to load the dishwasher and start it, but again, just a minor inconvenience. It was a wonderful stay! It is worth the little extra work because the Cozy Bear cabin is just so cute and one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed it!

Nice and quite

I loved this place and how clean and quite. It’s close to the hikes, and Asheville as well. The only thing that I wished for is the cabin to be far enough form the neighbors but that was on me for not checking before actually reserving this place but I enjoyed this place and would recommend it.

Lazy Bear was more than we even anticipated. The cabin is beautiful, impeccably clean, with a well-stocked kitchen full of items you’d need for a stay. My late husband and I lived in Western North Carolina for more than 20 years. My job moved me to Atlanta but I always considered WNC as home. I keep coming back -- until I found Lazy Bear and fell in love with her at first sight. It is so peaceful, love spending time here... and I know you will as well.

I still work and live in Atlanta, however I always look forward to coming home to Lazy Bear when I can.
