Snow settles quietly through the trees as you arrive, the woods hushed and still, broken only by the soft crunch underfoot. Steam curls into the cold air from the hot tub while warm light spills from the cabin windows, inviting you inside after a day outdoors. Evenings are made for slowing down – fires crackle, cards spread across the table, and long conversations stretch late into the night.
Sleeping Arrangements
The cabin sleeps up to eight guests across three bedrooms. The primary bedroom offers a queen bed, a wood‑burning stove, and private access to the primary bathroom. A second bedroom holds a queen bed, while the third bedroom features two sets of standard bunk beds, perfect for kids or extra guests.
Bathrooms
Two full bathrooms serve the group. The common bathroom includes a bathtub, and the primary bathroom provides a custom tile shower and a floating tub. Bathroom essentials are supplied for comfort.
Kitchen & Living Space
A fully equipped kitchen opens into the main living area, keeping everyone connected while meals are prepared. After dinner, settle onto the sofa to stream a movie on the TV or curl up with a book beside the indoor fireplace. Wi‑Fi is included for streaming and light remote work, with a dedicated workspace for planning the next adventure.
Outdoor Living
Step onto the large multi‑level deck that overlooks the woods, complete with a BBQ grill for year‑round cooking. A hot tub waits for chilly mountain nights, and a fire pit nearby becomes the natural gathering place once evening falls, perfect for quiet conversation beneath the stars.
Family & Pet Friendly
Children’s books, toys, and board games are provided, making it easy to settle in without overplanning. The cabin welcomes dogs, and free parking on the premises and a private entrance keep arrivals simple. Cats are not allowed due to allergies.
Neighborhood & Activities
Located in Hedgesville, West Virginia, the cabin sits within The Woods Resort, minutes from Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area, where miles of trails and a large lake await. Berkeley Springs, known for its arts community, shops, restaurants, and local brewery and winery, is a short drive away. Resort walking trails are free to use, while the golf course and fitness center require a modest fee or membership.
What to Expect
The remote mountain setting means Wi‑Fi can occasionally be slower or spotty; downloading important content in advance is recommended. The cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but you may still notice a few leaves or pollen, especially in certain seasons. This cabin invites you to embrace the quiet rhythm of the mountains, where winter days unfold slowly and evenings invite you to linger.

We came for a long weekend to escape DC life and had a great time. House was nice, and the property manager communicated well through check-in and our stay. The house manual was well-documented and had great recommendations for restaurants we wouldn’t have found otherwise. Bedding was comfortable, hot tub was great.

Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)
We had a great time staying in this house. It has sort of a unique layout which works beautifully at creating a relaxed vibe. All the natural light lets you take advantage of the environment while staying comfy cozy inside. The primary bedroom area was gorgeous and made you feel like you were at a fancy resort! There are a bunch of trails nearby to take young kids off the path exploring. The hot tub we super clean and looking up at night you see all the stars. Kitchen was well equipped.

Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)
Highly do not recommend! Stayed 12 hours of our suppose to be 5 nights! Property not cleaned/maintained & location was not a relaxing/family friendly! Property manager aware of safety issues and with much communication did result in a refund for nights we did not stay! Basically this “Oasis” is not as it is described!
I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and Oak Grove in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
