We could not have enjoyed this property any more! They thought of everything from the coffee bar to the couch blankets to make it feel like home away from home. The host was amazing and very fast to respond, even having the driveway cleared 3 times during our stay! Super clean place and would definitely stay again!

The Very Best Acadia region Lodging!!

A warm and cozy feel at SBL plus an immaculately clean, spotless interior drew us back to Sorrento for a second stay. The host and co-host provided excellent communication throughout our stay---The setting has a beautiful waterview setting with a very convenient central location to Acadia National Park on both Schoodic Peninsula and Mount Desert Island.You could not ask for a better equipped cabin with all the kitchen essentials plus a welcoming gas fireplace! We enjoyed an ideal getaway at this beautiful cabin!

Amazing Stay to Relax and Enjoy

Cant say enough lovely things about this amazing home. Beautifully decorated, has everything you need, views that make you run downstairs every morning to see the sunrise. It was so easy to get to everything. Winter offers such a different side of Maine- it was just wonderful! Hosts were so nice about advice. Could not have asked for more!

Quiet paradise with views of the water

The cabin was well appointed with everything you will need for your stay. We felt there was a lot of thought that went into a visitor's need. Cornhole, board games, pamphlets on activities and everything you need to cook were available for use. The place was super clean. Loved drinking coffee while sitting on the deck watching the eagles feed. Beds were super comfortable. We were blessed with good weather and drove into Bar Harbor daily. It was an easy drive which took 40 minutes. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

This property is absolutely beautiful! The furniture and decor is very thoughtful and welcoming. We stayed with a group of girls and our only regret is that we wish we would have scheduled more time to enjoy at the property itself. The hosts were quick to reply and left a basket of snacks for a bon fire. We absolutely would stay again if back in Maine!

Peaceful perfection

We had a fabulous time at The Lodge at Sorrento Bay. Such a beautiful, peaceful location with lovely views from the two deck areas. We had a particularly beautiful Hunter's Moon during our stay and the deck was a marvelous viewing window for it and for every sunrise. The location allowed us to explore Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, including the Schoodic Peninsula, which is blessedly quiet without the crowds of the main park area. Alice and Kyle provided all sorts of helpful information and went above and beyond to make our stay special.

Checked In And Then We Checked Out For A Few Nights!

I have stayed at a number of VRBOs over the years and I have never found one that felt so immediately like home as this one did. The whole process leading up to check in was so easy and straight forward. I was travelling with my three sons, aged 7, 6 and 4 and from the moment we walked through the door we really got to enjoy our special time together in such a special and beautiful location. We cooked almost all of our meals at home and we didn't need anything besides the ingredients. This kitchen was better equipped than our own! Every detail was thought about and we really had such an enjoyable experience from start to finish. My boys and I needed some time to bond and this was a truly idealic place to do it. We made memories that will last forever here. My only complaint is we didn't stay long enough, but we can make up for that next season! A huge thank you to Alice and Kyle for a truly remarkable experience!

Absolutely Phenomenal Stay.

Wow. This was one of our best stays ever on VRBO. We drove 12 hours from Philly and were immediately welcomed and supported by Alice upon arrival. The place smelled amazing when we walked in. Everything clean, homey, and comforting. The first night it got colder than we thought and we had soup and movies by the fireplace. It was the perfect on-ramp to a lovely vacation. Oh and the water pressure and heat!! Wow. We lived every shower. Perfect after days of being out and around Bar Harbor. We regularly sat on the back deck and watched Eagles and Osprey fish when it was high tide. At low tide we observed gulls, sandpipers, and other fun birds. We also did some nature walks in Acadia (including Schoodic side) which was gorgeous. Def away from crowds and really feels like a getaway. Between the place, the gracious host, and the beautiful surroundings, we cannot recommend this place enough. 10/10.

A little piece of paradise!

The property was more than expected. The owners have gone well over and above the normal to make sure you have absolutely everything you could ever need as your home away from home. The furnishings are all top notch and the home is equipped with more than enough of everything. Their thought process is to make sure you are covered from the extra snack box of goodies when you walk in to the coffee station (which we did not use, not coffee drinkers). Their house book gives you all the information you will need for restaurants referrals, numerous maps and booklets provided too. The grounds are beautiful and the view is spectacular of the water below. The property is centrally located so you can visit many small towns in the area easily for the day and return back to the house to settle in and watch movies, play games or enjoy the outdoors with the fire pit or corn hole. We hated to leave but at some point you have to return to reality. You cannot go wrong with booking this home in the Sorrento area. One of the best VRBOs we have ever booked and we have booked many from the east coast to the west coast. Enjoy!
