This cabin was perfect for our visit. The bedrooms were great especially the bunk room. Our 3 year old granddaughter called it "her very own room". It was very quiet and cozy tucked up in the woods.
Great location and quiet. We loved the hot tub for end of the day relaxation, even in July. Location was great for the purpose of our stay. Saw wildlife daily. Hosts were communicative and helpful. Would definitely stay again if we return to the area.
The cabin was clean and modernized but still kept the charm of a cabin! We enjoyed the hot tub and all the amenities. Hosts were gracious and responsive! We would stay again!
Great “base camp” for those who want to explore the national park and other area attractions but don’t like roughing it. Beautiful area and lots to see! The house was clean, kitchen had everything you might need, and the hot tub was relaxing in the evening!
Jana’s cabin was the perfect little slice of heaven for our birthday getaway. Everything was spotless and well cared for. The master bedroom bed was extremely comfortable, and the bedding felt fresh and clean. Jana was wonderfully communicative throughout the entire process, which made everything seamless. The kitchen was impressively well stocked—she truly thought of everything. We used the fireplace often, and it made our stay even cozier. We will absolutely be booking again.
Stayed with my three daughters for a Galentine’s weekend and had a great time! Enjoyed some of the nearby hiking trails and soaked up the quiet beauty of the area.
The cottage has everything you need for a fantastic vacation. It’s comfortably furnished for six people, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. The jacuzzi was the perfect way to relax after a day of hiking or exploring Washington. We even spotted deer and foxes nearby. Inside, the house was spotless; we swept the porch ourselves, but that’s to be expected with the surrounding trees.
We had a lovely stay here with our son and grandchildren, ages 8 and 10. The hot tub was popular, as was hiking on the Trillium Trail and visiting Skyline Caverns. Jana and Aaron were very responsive and helpful - would recommend!
Quiet, peaceful stay in the woods close to Sky Meadows state park and Shenandoah. The house is well designed and comfortable. The kitchen could benefit from some organization and a deeper cleaning. Same for the window sils & screens, which are covered with dead bugs. Nothing that would put me off from staying, but a chore that should be done nonetheless. Overall, a lovely stay and the host was very communicative and kind.
Warm and cozy cabin for a great girls wknd enjoying the local wineries. Jana was quick with communication when i had questions. They provided a lot of the essentials if you forgot anything. I. Took away a star for location because the roads are mostly gravel and steep hills. I think there should be a disclaimer

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Description says clean, but that was not the case. Outdoor cushions were moldy, and no one could sit on them. Outside chairs were filthy, switched out with other chairs from hot tub area. Spiders were on the ceiling that we ended up getting rid of. Bath exhaust fan in the hall was filthy, a/c returns were black. Stains were on fitted sheet in one room. Many dishes pulled from cabinets were not clean. Did not use hot tub. Not sure what our cleaning fee goes towards. Thanks for the firewood.

Dear Denise, thank you for staying with us. We are sorry and surprised to hear that you didn’t find the cabin as clean as expected. We strive to be the cleanest cabin on the mountain and our reviews confirm it! We will communicate your feedback to the housekeeper and will do a deep clean of the areas that you mentioned. We would have appreciated this communication during your stay, then we could have had the chance to fix the issues for you and your stay would have been more agreeable.
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The house was clean, comfortable, and a great jumping off point for exploring the area. The owners were very kind and provided lots of helpful information about restaurants and activities. We would love to visit again!
