An absolute dream of a mountain getaway! The house was spotless, incredibly spacious, and set in the most peaceful and quiet location imaginable. Even though it was a very warm summer down in the nearby town, this place stayed wonderfully cool and comfortable the entire time. We felt completely surrounded by nature. The host was also fantastic—extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommend and we cannot wait to come back!

Perfect spot for a family get away. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of firewood, newer bathrooms, very clean and comfortable. Pool tables and board games kept everyone happy and entertained.

Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. The peaceful, private setting, the beauty of the cabin and its surroundings, the completely stocked kitchen, and the fireplace at night made this a perfect place to stay on our trip to New England. We would definitely stay here again.

We love how cozy the home was .we have stayed in alot of cabins over 20 years coming to Vermont and this was the best and my spouse love the Italian vibe since he grew up in Italy til he was 16 .plus we were close to our families up there.

Great place to get away

Loved the cabin and the location, Steve was a great host and responded quickly to a couple of questions we had, the cabin and property are very well kept. I would definitely stay here again and I strongly recommend it for anyone looking to get away from the rush of things.

Great Cabin

So enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The screened in porch was very relaxing. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed & the beds were very comfortable .The location is great for visits to NY & beautiful small towns in Vermont.

Cozy cabin in a beautiful place

Very cute cabin in one of the prettiest areas of the country. The hosts were very nice and shared detailed instructions as well as recommendations for the area. We had a lovely time, unplugged, and explore the surrounding countryside and towns. Thank you!

Very nice out of the way location. Very secluded but easy to find. Lots of room especially for a couple. Screened porch was very relaxing. Loved that firewood was available for the working fireplace. I would recommend this location!

Cabin in the Woods

If you are looking for a quiet, secluded place to get away from it all this is the place for you. Very quaint and relaxing. We enjoyed our time here. It has a babbling brook you can hear from the screened in porch. Good internet connection. Walking trail thru the woods.

Great stay

Absolutely great Vermont log cabin experience. Loved the stream, cabin and property. We have been coming up to the area for over a decade. Both for VSF and off-season. Steve and family provided a great experience for us. He reached out during our rental to make sure everything was ok.

Wonderful cabin!

The pictures really do not do this sweet little cabin justice! It was just what my husband and I were looking for. It was very clean, quiet and quaint! It made us want to buy a log cabin in Vermont some day, but until then we will definitely be going back to this wonderful place! Thank you Steve and Nancy for making our stay so amazing! Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer!

Lovely cabin on the river in quiet area

We had a relaxing visit to this very clean, cozy cabin. The cabin is about a 20 minute drive to Manchester Center for groceries, etc. There are many hikes within a 30-minute drive. Sitting on the back porch and listening to the river rush by at night was our favorite activity. The cabin has a wonderful wood burning fireplace. We loved our stay!

Lovely house with babbling brook

This house is surrounded by trees and a babbling brook -- nicely set back from the road. Worth the trip just to spend time on the great screened in porch, listening to the brook and the birds. The kitchen is well designed, completely equipped, and well organized. Good hiking trails nearby at the Merck Center, Dorset, etc. and also a converted rail trail behind Rupert.

Fly infestation

Property location very nice. However cabin was infested with flies which was extremely annoying and made our stay very unpleasant. Although the location was presteen we won't be renting in the future.

We have owned this property for 20 years and rented for the past 8 years. This is the first fall that we have experienced Cluster Flies. We were told they they hibernate in the eves of some homes until spring. With our home being a vacation rental, the flies woke up when the heat was turned up. We were there the week prior to this guest and we thought we saw the a few stragglers, but obviously there were more. I asked this guest if they saw any on arrival and they said no. They didn’t contact me or complain while there so I expected everything was fine. I have an exterminator going in next we to take care of the problem. I apologize to these guests.
