We invite you to enjoy your time upstate in our Cozy Red Woodstock Cottage! This adorable, thoughtfully renovated 2 BR cottage was originally built in 1935 is only a short 12 min walk to the heart of Woodstock Village. Walk into a light and spacious open plan dining/living room with dark wood beams and accents, skylights and large windows allowing the nature outside to surround you while you relax. Outfitted with large antique dining table that seats 4 as well as a 60” TV and Sonos sound system for nights and days in. Large, separate eat-inkitchen w/ breakfast bar and paned windows that open to the screened-in porch and brand new stainless steel appliances. Treat yourself to your own spa experience by taking a bath in the newly refinished antique deep claw foot tub. The second floor has a cozy TV room, loft work space with reading nook. Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails with friends on the screened porch or from the outdoor seating area on the wood deck. Candles and LED solar string lights give you a soft glow at night. Take a nap in the hammock and watch the deer graze on the adjacent field. Private and quiet oasis surrounded by green yet only minutes to the heart of Woodstock, great restaurants, shops and the activities of our quaint, historic town at the gateway of the Catskills. My family has lived in the area for 2 generations and we love the Catskills and are proud to call it home. The experience of growning up in these woods is something I wish everyone could enjoy as much as I have. In that spirit, I can help with suggestions and local recommendations to get the most out of your stay. There is so much to explore. As for myself I live between the Hudson Valley and New York City and am employed in a variety of art and commercial endeavors, mainly in the world of film and television production.
Why they chose this property
The town of Woodstock is at the heart of the cultural center of the area, having attracted artists and musicians for as long as people have been visiting. The inspiration comes from the mountains, farms and surrounding towns and communities which are older than America itself. Whether its going for a hike in the mountains or hanging out in Kingston for some nightlife, Woodstock offers a picturesque and convenient point from which to start and end any journey.
What makes this property unique
Set back from the road off a private driveway. Surrounded by green and woods on all sides while still being 0.7 miles to the heart of Woodstock. Best of both worlds.
