This was one of our best trips to Blue Ridge!! The Cabin was absolutely amazing and the views spectacular. We saw tons of wildlife and felt safe and peaceful the whole time. We will definitely be back soon.

Very nice home. It was a very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. We weren’t able to use the outside amenities due to rain. My only apprehension was the one lane road to get to the home. It is nicely paved, but very narrow, so a bit scary at the curves and when encountering an oncoming vehicle. The location was very convenient to town.

Very relaxing and a beautiful view.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our view was excellent and loved the winding roads up to the cabin. We had a wonderful and relaxing time. We enjoyed the town area and seen waterfalls.

My husband and I stayed at Western Sky for one week in September with our two dogs. We enjoyed our stay and are providing detailed info to help others make an informed decision.Pros: The property listing very accurately represented the cabin and we found the yard to be well-suited to our dogs. The house was very clean and the furniture was of high quality, comfortable and in excellent condition. We cooked most of our meals at home and found the kitchen was well-equipped for our needs. There were plenty of supplies provided for just the two of us for the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms (larger parties will need to bring some of their own). The views from the well-furnished decks, and the walk along the ridge-top road, were beautiful and we spent much of our time outdoors. We saw multiple deer and turkeys every day. My husband liked the hot tub and used it daily. Communication with the host was excellent!Things to consider: 1) The primary (king) bedroom/bath are upstairs. The staircase is steep and slippery for stocking feet and dogs, and the bannister is difficult to grasp since it is made from large diameter logs. 2) The cabin's interior lighting is so dim that we could not read indoors and it felt a bit grim on rainy days and in the evening. Bringing a book light would have helped to an extent. 3) The long, winding road up to the cabin is only 1.5 lanes so passing oncoming traffic is unnerving. Despite these issues, we enjoyed the cabin. It's definitely a 5 out of 5!

Spectacular cabin in a spectacular location. Close enough to downtown Blue Ridge but far enough up the mountain that you feel like you're out of reach! The cabin has everything you need. Plenty of room to spread out. Great fire pit for making s'mores. Great hot tub for relaxing while watching the sunset. Will be back.
