The house was spotless when we arrived. Instructions for gaining access were supplied ahead of time. The house was even better than advertised! We loved the marsh views, the breezes (no wonder they call it Las Brisas), and the two screen rooms and upper level observation deck for exquisite sunrise and sunset views. The kitchen was fully equipped from utensils and dishware, to pots and pans, and small appliances. We enjoyed hearing the neighbors' chickens and turkeys, and the fresh eggs that they offered, but if that's going to bother you perhaps this is not the place for you. Visiting deer were a common occurrence in the yard.We stayed six weeks during spring, and plan to return. The property has easy walking access to the local beach but is otherwise a bit remote. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within a short drive.

Hi, Chuck. So glad you were able to get out of the snow and enjoy your time at our home and the Lowcountry. See you next time! Cheers! Debra and Michael
We have really enjoyed staying here multiple years. We love the views, seclusion, convenience to town and Hunting Island (pass included) We had great family time playing games and enjoying meals on the screened in porch. It's always a treat to spot deer in the yard. Would highly recommend!

So glad you enjoyed your stay. You’re welcome back anytime. Regards, Debra and Michael
This is an amazing house and a great deal. Don’t be confused by it only listing 2 bedrooms. There is plenty of room for 8 people in this home. The beach near the house is on the sound and very calm, just bring water shoes for the oyster shells. We can’t recommend this home more.

We had a great time at this property. Such a unique place, the views from the crows nest were amazing and we loved being able to take our dog to the very close dog beach.

Hi, Lynn. Glad you enjoyed your stay at our home. Yes, the views are pretty spectacular above the trees any time of day or night when, on a clear night, the stars are abundant. Hope to see back again soon. Kindly, Debra and Michael
A wonderful private retreat, a home away from home!
Once again, we had the most wonderful stay at this private retreat. A welcoming home with all the amenities needed for an extended stay. Here we experienced the best of both worlds, the low country marsh and also a beach a short walk down the road. Nearby, a short drive away, we enjoyed Port Royal and the city of Beaufort. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we look forward to returning next year.

Hi, Todd. Glad you and your wife enjoyed your stay and visits in the area. You were there for the first snow storm of the year and seeing the lowcountry in that winter wonderland. We look forward to your return. Best wishes, Debra and Michael
We could not have been happier! Sunrise at the private beach, stars on the crow’s nest, marsh rabbits and deer in the yard, Butch’s boat landing (for putting in kayaks) and hunting island less than 10 min away. The kitchen was well stocked, the details were attended to, the beds were comfy. The ONLY gripe I have is the lack of a lock on the primary bedroom door (and that is in the review for the owners not because it detracted from our stay!) The place was perfect for our family of 5 and the hosts were very accommodating. We will certainly return to this spot!!

Hi, Lauren. I guess you needed that lock on the bedroom door to keep the kids out! Pretty funny. Otherwise, glad you enjoyed your stay and hope the rest of your summer is a joy. Cheers! Debra and Michael
This house is an amazing beach house. It reminds me of houses I stayed at as a child at the beach. Beautiful area, very private. Debra was wonderful to work with and we will definitely be back next year!
The house was great. The location was good, if you like the out of the way places...which we do. Maybe a little hard to fine, but we enjoyed our little get away very much.
We had a wonderful time staying at the home and everything was as described in the promotion. We fully enjoyed the patio’s and the location couldn’t have been better. If down in the area again, we’d definitely stay here again.

About the host

We love our home in South Carolina! Having family nearby, we share meals and good times together. We live in San Francisco, also a beautiful place, but when we go to our So. Carolina home, we simply feel the stress of the everyday life melt away no matter what time of year. We have spent all the seasons and all are equally beautiful. We love beach combing, meeting and sharing a meal with our neighbors and lazing on the decks with a good book in the heat of the day. Family members visit and we take in the local catch of the day - the shrimp, clams, oysters and crab that our brother-in-law catches himself! We want you to enjoy our home as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We have family and friends in No. and So. Carolina and Florida. We knew we needed to have our own home to share with them. We were fortunate to find this special place that brings such joy, and we are delighted to share with our guests.
What makes this property unique
We love the food, beaches, shopping, neighbors and quiet that makes us feel rejuvenated at the end of a stay.
