Host was wonderful. Tidy, cozy and responsive. Place was nice and well stocked. Amazing creek / river area. Close to road… traffic noise quieted in evening. Definitely will stay again.
The cabin was located in a fantastic area. The area was secluded but not so distant from another house that I didnt feel isolated in the hills of GA.The cabin was clean and very well insulated from the 20 degree outside temperature. And the bedroom was basically blacked out which provided for some great sleepWillene is a wonderful host
This spot is a really nice cozy spot by a creek. It had everything we could need and the host is super nice. We had to leave early because of the snow storm but we will definitely go back. Very impressed.
This place was a nice quiet retreat. We loved the creek area and feeding the fish. The owner was super nice. We also loved that the house was centrally located to every5ing. It was clean quiet and perfect for us and we can’t wait to visit this house again. It’s very ho ey and our dogs loved it.
Mrs. Willene was just the sweetest woman I've had the pleasure of dealing with. True southern hospitality at its finest. For the area & price this is a venue you can not miss out on. Everything is there for you. Thank you Mrs. Willene!
Sit by the Stream just below the back yard and your troubles melt away. Very clean and very accessible. If you are weary of steep mountain roads this is the perfect spot as it is right if the main road. Sure that means there’s some traffic but down by the stream you couldn’t tell it. Very reasonably priced. Why stay in a hotel? Willene We will definitely be back!!!
We loved staying here! It’s a great location where it’s close enough to town without being in town and within a few miles of some amazing hikes!
The cabin was so clean and the hosts so nice! It had everything we could possibly need. We stayed for a week! And it was very well insulated we could not hear our neighbors at all and even inside ours I could close the door to the bedroom and the tv which is just outside the door you couldn’t even hear!
The cabin has a river out back with a fire pit and there are a couple grills! Our dogs loved it too and went swimming while we roasted marshmallows!
I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place and our hostess!

House by the River
The spacious cabin was open and well. Stocked. Having the sound of the creek was very relaxing. Mrs. Wilene met us upon arrival and gave us the tour. Very busy highway so we heard traffic all weekend but it was memorial day weekend. The house wasn't extremely clean the but I will take cleaning up a bit over expensive cleaning fees. The bedding was very clean. Overall, an enjoyable stay.
Owner was as wonderful and informative as could be. Instructions with hand drawn road maps with points of interest for every direction. Caled her a couple of times with different questions. She always answered and was very helpful. They left fish food for feeding the trout in the beautiful creek located just 15 feet from the house. Firewood was bundled for a fire at creekside with table and benches. Sooo peaceful. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. You will not be disappointed with your stay.

Great price, but not as advertised
You can't beat the price. It's cheaper than any motel in the area and includes a full kitchen too. BUT. It's not a cabin and it's not private and it doesn't have a deck or porch. It is a duplex apartment sitting right on the busy Hwy 17 at the 180 junction. Some of the photos provided by the owners are not of this building. Anyway, if you didn't have your heart set on a secluded cabin in the woods, this should fit the bill just fine and you won't find a lower price on anything in the area.
Willene is so nice, she is such a sweet host! We enjoyed our stay here. We loved the river and so did our daushunds, they loved playing in it. Definitely a great place to stay!
My husband and I spent five relaxing days at this cozy cabin. As stated in other reviews, it is right off the main road and is a duplex-type cabin. We were expecting this and found the cabin and the host, Mrs. Willene, to be quite charming. The kitchen was well-stocked and there were plenty of linens available. The couch was cozy and the bed slept well. The star of the show, however, was the river out back (accessed by a stone staircase). We built a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed sitting by the relaxing stream and feeding the trout that hang out there. I’m pretty sure the other half of the duplex was occupied during our stay, but we never heard them. This place was a relaxing GEM, and we are grateful for its affordable rate. We will be back!
We enjoyed our time in your lovely cabin. The bed was most comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We loved grilling and sitting by the water and my husband enjoyed watching the fish. Great hospitality. We visited the Bigfoot Museum, Bell Mountain, Brasstown Bald and Helen on our way home. great day
Enjoyed the stay. Cabin was well equipped and clean. was a bit from Hiawassee or restaurants and businesses. A lot of traffic on Hwy 17 as cabin was close to road.
