If you’re looking for a close home or cottage to enjoy the beach this one named Mako is the one to choose. This quaint and comfortable 2br, 2ba 60 second walk to the water was perfect. Sandi our host couldn’t have made our 3 day stay any better. The cottage is well equipped with anything you would need to enjoy your beach time in Ormond/Daytona area. We would rate this VRBO choice an A or a 10 out of 10. We will come back here again when we can stay longer..

We have been staying at this cottage for several years now each trip we take to Ormond. Communication with the host is always reliable and she is highly responsive! There is enough room to accommodate three people very comfortably. Our group is usually four people, so we use a single air mattress for the fourth; no issue there at all. The area is always very quiet, with easy access to the beach and Daytona only being a 25 minute drive away. Also easy access to lots of restaurants, store locations, and tourist attractions. If you're looking for a comfortable stay, reasonable rate, and easy access to Daytona, you can't go wrong with this booking!

We have stayed at this cottage many times over the years, and we plan to continue coming back without hesitation. It is truly a wonderful place to stay, and the owner, Sandi, is absolutely the best to work with.We try to visit every year and always bring our daughters and grandkids. Each trip gives us memories we’ll cherish for years to come. For us, the best part is simply being grandparents and enjoying time with our little ones. Watching our grandchildren—and our own children, even though they’re not kids anymore—run, play, swim, and chase crabs on the beach is what it’s all about.The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the beach is literally about a 60-second walk away. With no vehicles on the beach and no big crowds, it makes the experience that much more relaxing and enjoyable.This year, we even had the excitement of sea turtles hatching Friday night. Most of the hatchlings made their way to the ocean, while one little turtle decided to head in the opposite direction. Thankfully, it was found, and the turtle patrol was able to safely release it into the ocean. It was an incredible experience and another special memory from our stay.There are plenty of choices when planning a beach vacation, but we can confidently say you won’t be disappointed if you choose Mako Beach. It has become a special place for our family, and we look forward to returning year after year.Thank you Sandi and will see you next year.

The proximity to the beach, restaurants, and our relatives was perfect! The details given in the provided supplies were greatly appreciated! The amount of space in 2 bedrooms with 2 full baths- this was an unbeatable find!So clean! Zero bugs or odd smells! We’be stayed in several places along the beach, but this definitely will be a repeated place to stay ! The private beach access was superb as well! Thanks for the chairs, umbrella, towels and boards for our time in the sun and waves! Sheri, you did this so well! I’ve already told family about it!

We had a wonderful time at the Cottage! So welcoming and comfortable. Literally steps from the beach and still near shopping and conveniences. We had long walks on the beach, motorcycle rides through exotic Florida landscapes and even did some fishing! Sandi was always accessible and ensured we enjoyed our stay. ( And I love to cook and we were able to prepare all our meals at "home" with the supplied kitchenware.) Looking forward to our next visit!
