This property has a lot of excellent reasons to choose it. It is a beautifully styled house, and the property is peaceful with a spectacular view. We loved spending time on the deck after a day in the noisiness of LA. It is hard to believe that it can be so quiet just a short 20 minute drive from the city!There are a few things that renters should know- the driveway is very steep and the parking space hard to maneuver into if you have an SUV, although we were comfortable with it after a few times. The stairs down to the house are a bit uneven, so they may be difficult for someone with mobility issues.Our family enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

This property was exactly what we needed to get away from the city. The location and details were clearly laid out and fit my family’s needs. I gave 5 stars to all ratings as it meets that. My overall 4 star rating is due to the entry key for the sliding door is extremely difficult to lock and unlock due to the narrow area next to the framing of the door. Secondly I’d recommend replacing the coffee maker. It’s a tiny pot making only 2 cups. The pot is too big for the machine so when pulling to get it out it spills the little coffee that’s made. Otherwise this place is amazing, close to all amenities, beautiful deck to listen to the birds, great hiking from the house! Would definitely stay again!

Our stay was cut short without warning. The listing allows up to six overnight guests, and only six people were staying overnight. We had eight people total for a birthday celebration, opening gifts and playing Mario Kart quietly inside. Before the 10:00 p.m. quiet hours even began, the host messaged that “several rules have been broken” and ordered us to leave immediately.When we arrived, there was only parking for two cars. A man living in the upstairs unit directed us to another place to park, which we did. The host later claimed we violated the parking rules, despite us following the directions we were given.About 15 minutes after the eviction message, police arrived because the host reported a “wild party” with “30 to 40 people.” The officers found only eight people quietly inside the home. I explained we were celebrating a birthday, and the host responded that “no parties are allowed.” There was never any warning or opportunity to address concerns.While leaving, I watched one of the responding police vehicles nearly slide down the steep access road.The host also promised to refund the remainder of our stay but has not done so. This experience ruined my birthday and forced us to find another place to stay in the middle of our trip. I would not recommend this property.

We did not expect to find such a peaceful place so close to Los Angeles, with lovely hiking at walking distance. Good coffeeshops and market within a short drive. The house was comfortable and had all that was necessary plus it offered privacy to each of the guests in our party. The view from the balcony was pleasing and we could do birding sitting right at the door having morning coffee. The hike to eagle rock has a very enjoyable botanical biodiversity and the rock formations were very tempting to climb with metamorphic rock walls. This is a place we dream of living at. Very attentive host and good communication and organization. We left rested and thankful. .

We thoroughly enjoyed this property. It was very clean and updated. The view is beautiful and amazing!! It was very peaceful and relaxing there and close to a hiking trail which we enjoyed! The parking spot was a bit tight for the large SUV that we rented. But the SUV was helpful to get up the short rocky dirt road to get to the property. I would highly recommend this property!

The unit was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances as well as utensils. We had plenty of clean towels, and bathroom supplies. The two bathrooms were perfect for 4 adults. The unit also had a spacious outside area for dining or relaxing overlooking the canyon. The check-in and check-out instructions were clear. It was the perfect weekend for a family gathering. I will go back.

The rental had plenty of space for our group of 5. We all felt that the beds were very comfortable and slept well during our stay. The only things I wish were mentioned in the listing are the parking and the stairs down to the entrance. The parking space for unit C is a bit challenging to get in and out of, what worked for us was backing in-although there is a drop off so take caution. Additionally, we did not know there were steps to the entrance, which was a concern for one of the older guests we had with us. There was bedding left in the dryer and the kitchen chairs could use a cleaning- they were badly stained so we didn’t end up using them much.
