About the host
Hosted by Richard Aviles

Hi! We’re Ricky and Maria—Wisconsin locals with deep roots in the community. I’m originally from Milwaukee, and Maria is a proud Racine native. We met at the University of Wisconsin–Parkside back in 2006 and have been together ever since. Today, we live in Racine with our three amazing kids. I run a plastic fabrication company in Milwaukee, and Maria is a kindergarten teacher right here in town.
While Racine sometimes flies under the radar, we absolutely love it. It’s a true melting pot with strong community pride, beautiful diversity, and a supportive spirit—especially during our beloved local parades and sports rivalries! Whether it’s cheering on Wisconsin teams, watching movies with our kids, or hosting a game night, we’re happiest doing the simple things together as a family.
Hosting gives us the chance to share the best of Racine with guests—its charm, its people, and its hidden gems. We created Main Street Belle to offer a space that’s welcoming, comfortable, and filled with the kind of warmth we value in our own home. We hope you feel it the moment you walk through the door.

Why they chose this property
We love being right in the heart of downtown Racine—everything is just a short walk away: restaurants, shops, the lakefront, and more. Being on Main Street gives us front-row views for Racine’s incredible parades, which really showcase the city’s community spirit. Plus, we’re minutes from North Beach—one of the best and most underrated beaches in Wisconsin!
What makes this property unique
Our home was originally built in 1847 and is known as the Nicholas D. and Francis W. Fratt Building. In the 1990s, it was thoughtfully remodeled using salvaged architectural pieces from other historic Racine buildings of the same era. This helped preserve its charm and gave it unique character throughout. From the outside, it may seem unassuming—but step inside and you'll discover a true hidden gem.
