Fantastic panoramic sea views - Best beaches - Great location - Now with new AC

Enjoy panoramic ocean views and stunning Maui sunsets from your lanai. We think our unit really is something special. Located away from the elevators and other foot traffic .... this quiet one bedroom unit, located in Bldg. D, is the perfect vacation getaway. In June of 2025 we installed mini-split AC units in the living room and bedroom to make stays more comfortable when the evenings are warm.

The resort is on 6.5 lush acres. Located directly across from Kamaole Beach #2, one of the most beautiful beaches in South Kihei .... head out the front door and 2 minutes later you’ll have your feet in the water.

Walk to shopping, restaurants, take a stroll on the white sandy beach or just relax! Makena Golf Course and The 'Shops of Wailea' are a 5 minute drive. There are 2 pools on the property, as well as a tennis court. Enjoy the easy going, slow paced life of the Islands at Kihei Akahi.

It was our first visit to Kihei Akahi where our friends have previously stayed. We thoroughly enjoyed D506. It was set up with everything you need and more. Everything was well cared for and clean.The grounds and maintenance of all of the amenities were exceptional and great attention to detail.

We love staying at this condo. Stephen, the owner is hospitable, friendly, and has a beautiful condo. Our favorite part of staying here is watching the sunset every night. It’s an easy walk to the ocean, and the location is close to restaurants. We’re excited to make staying at Stephen’s condo a yearly tradition.

Great location. Friendly atmosphere. It did rain for a day and a half straight during part of my stay and no flooding. The washing machine flood sensor went off and the local contact listed was quick to respond. Great experience overall!

We loved staying here. The cal king bed was a pleasant surprise. The pull out couch wasn’t all that great but not terrible. We loved how close of a walk to the beach we were!! Building D is quiet and away from the road which was a plus.

Very nice condo.

This was a clean and very well appointed condo in a great location. Great view from the balcony of the ocean and sunsets. We had a minor glitch with the roll down sun shade on the balcony but the owner was very responsive.

Perfect Condo in Kihei

I stayed here for a week with my son for our spring break vacation. This condo was perfect in every way. The location is great, right on the beach, great ocean view from the balcony, a short drive from the airport, close to all amenities (shopping, grocery, restaurants, coffee shop, even snorkel bobs where we rented our snorkel gear). The condo is fully equipped, including all the beach gear we needed (towels, cooler, chairs, boogie boards). There is a small AC which is good for the nights. And, there is a screen on both doors, so you can have the breeze flow through. This condo is perfect for 2 people, it was everything we expected and more.

Clean and comfortable stay

First time visiting Maui as well as using Vrbo and had an outstanding experience. We had a Lahaina hotel reservation cancelled on us and were super lucky to have found this place, renting a condo in Kihei is definitely the way to go. This place is sparkling clean, with gorgeous views and high quality decor and stocked with everything you would need for a long vacation in Maui, from kitchenware to beach gear to entertainment. The housekeeper Ronda left detailed communication instructions if we ever needed anything (we didn’t, but felt at peace knowing exactly what to do if something went wrong). Super convenient location walking distance from the beach, convenience store, snorkel rentals (but check the closet first!), restaurants, and bars. The property itself is beautiful and secure, easy check in process and the parking spot is located where it doesn’t get too hot. The keyless entry is amazing, one less thing to worry about. A few tips to make the stay more comfortable: We used the in unit dryer and found the lint filter was very very thick, seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while but that was an easy fix. On warmer nights we brought the living room fan into the bedroom so 2 fans were running; it didn’t feel too stuffy. Also definitely buy or bring sunscreen - there was some that other guests had left in the bathroom cabinet and we also left some but you’ll need a lot. Also worth bringing shampoo and conditioner and maybe body wash - a 2 in 1 travel size and a bar of soap is provided (hotel style) but if you go swimming in the ocean you’ll likely want something more nourishing for your hair if it’s higher maintenance. Overall had a very pleasant stay, well exceeded expectations and would love to come back to Maui and stay here again. Thank you!

This was our fourth August staying a full month at this wonderful Kihei apartment, and it truly feels like our Maui home away from home. The location is unbeatable, just steps from the beach, close to great coffee and restaurants, and perfectly central for exploring the island.The apartment is spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we need for a long stay. We especially love the breezy balcony for morning coffee and sunsets. The hosts are consistently welcoming and attentive, making every visit seamless.We can’t imagine spending August anywhere else, this apartment has become part of our Maui tradition and we highly recommend it!Agim & Luljeta

Perfect Location

We have stayed at a few different condos in Kihei and really loved this one for the location across Kam 2 beach and it’s close to shops and restaurants. The condo was very well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and for the beach (2 chairs, umbrella, cooler, mat). The king bed was extremely comfortable and the bedroom was kept cool enough. The ocean view from the lanai was lovely and you even get a view of Haleakala from the walkway. We’d definitely stay here again!

Our stay was magical!

The location was one of the most amazing aspects of staying in this well-equipped condo. I love waking up early to watch the sunrise, and being within walking distance of the beach makes catching sunsets the perfect way to end the day. Stephan was excellent at communicating all the details well in advance.

Excellent Kihei Condo

Very nice unit in the D Building, which sits back away from the main road and is parallel to the beach, meaning the views and sunsets are awesome. Everything is as advertised for a short or extended stay. The AC is not a split system, only a window unit in the main living room. The back bedroom stays cool if you run the fans and move cool air back. We opened the windows and let the trade winds blow and it was awesome. Wife and I plan to return every year as long as Stephen has it available on VRBO.

Great Location & Wonderful Condo

The condo is clean and has a great view of the ocean. Condo has a comfortable bed and a nice pull out couch bed. Lots of beach items available for use during your stay- ice chest, beach chairs, snorkeling items and sand toys. Bathroom has a blow dryer. Kitchen is fully stocked and has a coffee pot (not pods) The locations of the Condo is perfect! Walking distance from restaurants and bars and beach access is across the street. Cannot wait to come back

Great spot and great value!

This condo was well stocked, appeared as described, and served us well during our honeymoon in Maui. We especially loved being able to walk across the street to the beach and use the provided beach chairs to relax. Air does not circulate well to the back bedroom but there was a floor fan and ceiling fan so we were good to go! Proximity to other areas of the island was also a plus - it seems like this area is a good spot to be central to most sights and sounds. Bonus points for the cool guest book!
