Best Vrbo ever!It was all that a Vrbo should be: clean, comfortable, well equipped. Beyond that, it was beautiful. The inside is warm and cheerful. The views are unforgettable. We could and did spend hours watching the clouds and sun move over the mountains. The decor was perfect, not fussy but interesting. Unlike some places, there was plenty of room for our clothes and food.Access isn’t easy. Our AWD Forester had no real problems but we didn’t drive over 10 mph and it took about 15 minutes to get to and from the main road. After finding it the first time (several wrong turns), a Google Maps pin was invaluable. We originally scheduled 3 nights, but loved it so much we extended to a week and would have stayed longer if time had allowed.

Everything was great, house and view were beautiful. House had everything you needed. Only thing was the drive in was a a little rough but the view was worth it.

Thank you for the five stars, Michael! I'm glad you enjoyed it! You're welcome back anytime!
Very quiet and secluded. Definitely needed my 4 wheel drive. Google maps will get you there but follow the owners directions as well. Definitely bring firewood for the fire ring and sit out under the stars.

Thank you for taking the time to review our cozy spot, Michael! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the tips for other guests! Please come back some time! :)
Absolutely incredible cabin and views. Close to all sorts of activities. The cabin had everything we needed and we felt right at home. For the other comments saying a 4x4 is required to get to the cabin, we had no issues with a FWD Corolla Cross. Would definitely consider booking again during our next trip to the mountains. Very highly recommend!

Cabin is very clean, comfortable beds, you definitely need a 4 WD! The view is stunning…beautiful mountain location. Beautiful fire pit area but we were unable to enjoy due to some inclement weather. Host was very gracious and responsive to our questions. If you want a secluded mountain cabin with outstanding views this is the place. The picture attached is right out the front window!

The drive in was an adventure the first time and the other reviews and listing are right that you'll need at least a vehicle with AWD, but once you get you're bearings it's a pretty simple drive in to a an amazing view and great cabin stay.We enjoyed every minute of our stay and the view from the porch. Even in the mist and dog it was hauntingly beautiful. The location was unbeatable if you want to get away but still be close enough to enjoy the locals shops and restaurants on Maggie Valley and Cherokee. The drive along the Blue Ridge Highway up to Waterrock Knob was also a can't miss.Overall an amazing stay, at an amazing cabin in the Smokies.

Absolute perfect cabin nestled high in the mountain and everywhere you looked was a photo moment! It was clean and had all that we needed. We spent an afternoon in Waynesville, enjoyed time buying local apples and loved the drive and views on the Blue Ridge parkway! Our host detailed directions and description of the drive to the cabin was invaluable. We had an AWD and after our first drive up we were laughing with the satisfaction that we had made it! Then we saw the view and the view silenced us. What a thrill!

Harriet! What a beautiful review! Thank you for sharing that and I love to hear what people did while they were there! You were excellent guests too! Please come back sometime!
Owner very responsive. Cabin had all the comforts needed. My son said it's his dream home. Only suggestion, definitely get an AWD/4wd SUV. I did tear up the bottom of my small AWD rental car. It is gorgeous and would definitely stay again. :)
It was definitely more difficult getting in than expected. Turn by turn instructions would have helped. Other cabins I've stayed in have done that. It was partially my fault because I got there after Dark and got lost a couple times! The cabin is great and the screen porch was the highlight of the trip. It was great sitting out there and watching the weather change and it's nice and cool at altitude. One morning we saw a small black bear walk past the fire ring.

Thank you, John. Yes, it can be tricky. You should have received an automated email with check-in information which contains turn-by-turn directions, a map image and even photographs. Sorry you missed that but so glad it worked out and that you enjoyed your stay. :)
This is my fourth time staying in the cabin. It is absolutely a dream! Home away from home. Cozy and the views are outstanding! I’ll definitely be returning.

About the host

Hosting brings me joy! I enjoy connecting with people, even though brief, at a time when they are typically finding joy in a vacation plan. I like to add small touches and imagine how that might make their stay just a little more special! I bought this place as a getaway and eventually, my homestead, just as soon as I can get out of the city for good! It feels like home to everyone who enters it. Enjoy!
Why they chose this property
It's the best of both worlds, modern conveniences and comfort but with as much peace and connection with nature as you can squeeze in.
