Blacksmiths Cottage was very comfortable and a lovely clean well presented home away from home.Decor was clean and fresh and beds very comfortable.Ideal spot for walking and using the GWSR and lots of places to eat without having to drive. Thanks Sarah for the lovely chocolate cake too.
Blacksmith Cottage was perfectly situated — central location in Winchcombe but quiet and peaceful. Housed four of us just fine. Comfortable beds, adequate kitchen, and a hostess who could not have been more attentive and helpful. Would definitely stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay in Winchcombe. The blacksmith cottage is a beautiful renovated old cottage with living details ant enough space for a family with up to 4 children or 4 adults and 2 children. We loved being there
A modern property converted from a forge, well appointed with plenty of room for family and easy owner to work with. Highly recommended in this lovely little town. Beautiful
Great property in a great location, perfect for a short Cotswolds break. Great size property for our family of four, everything was as described. Parking a bonus too. Had fantastic communication with Sarah prior to the stay, everything went smoothly and Sarah was really helpful. Lovely welcome package was really appreciated.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The property was close to the village centre. It had its own parking space. Inside it had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor patio area had a table and chairs but was small.
Enjoyed our weekend at this property, All as we expected. Easy communication with the owner. The house was tucked away so nice and quiet, but also only a stones throw from the main High Street.
Lovely walks straight from the door
Blacksmiths Cottage is a delightful cottage in a convenient location with just a very short walk to local supermarkets, pubs serving food and shops.
Its a two minute walk to the bus stop which takes you to Cheltenham and a 20 minute walk to Sudeley Castle which we would highly recommend. The host was very prompt in answering any questions we had and very kindly left milk and a chocolate cake too (a nice touch).
Would mention that the post code took our respective Sat Navs into Cowl Lane, we had to ask a local in the end where Blacksmiths cottage was, the house name albeit at the entrance to the property, would also benefit from being placed on the Back Lane side too.
The spacious bedroom with twin beds are we would say quite low (more childrens level) but nonetheless adequate.
Overall a lovely cottage in a great location.
Had a lovely stay for school friend reunion. Property well equipped, clean and comfortable and within walking distance of the village which is beautiful. Hoping to return next year.
Location of cottage was fantastic. Lovely cottage with comfy beds. Parking space a definite bonus. Would not suit anyone with any mobility issues as steps leading up to patio had no bannister. Having said that, this wouldn't put us off coming back
We had a super time here, Sarah was very welcoming and the house was beautifully set for us. We had everything we needed and had a very comfortable stay. The location was great with parks, trains, pubs and shops all within walking distance. We hardly used the car as there was so much to do and see. We had a lovely week, thank you so much for having us!
Lovely cottage, charming. There was a welcome box of chocs which was a nice touch. There was fresh milk in the fridge , cereals, coffee and tea.
There were some games available, in case of a rainy day.
There was a selection of information on the local area, attractions. Also useful contacts.
Overall a great place to stay in a great location.
We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It has everything you need and loved the stone walls. Winchcombe is a lovely town and a great base to visit other places in the Cotswolds.
We all fell in love with Winchcombe. There was so much to do in the immediate area, with fantastic walking and nearby attractions. The cottage provided an ideal base and worked really well for my family of three and our two friends, as we could each have a floor to ourselves! The downstairs table was a great meeting point for all of us and was the ideal place for hearty meals (provided by the nearby friendly local coop) and for card games later on. Needless to say, by the end of the week I was checking house prices and thinking about moving here!
Lovely property with excellent facilities and very well finished. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there from the quality of the bedding and towels to the perfect blend of the modernity and traditional nature of the cottage. Would recommend!
Snug cottage, close to town centre, clean and cheerful.
