Find peace, quiet, solitude - and high-speed internet - at this cabin nestled into Vermont's central hills. The cozy, wood cabin overlooks a small stream and beautiful, rolling meadows. Inside, you'll find a studio cottage with a queen-sized bed in a sleeping alcove adjacent to the living room, a full kitchen (oven, range, fridge, sink and dining table) with basic utensils, pots, pans and dishes, and a full bathroom (shower, sink, toilet).
The cabin is heated by a gas stove - providing the cozy ambiance of a woodstove with the luxury of a thermostat control! A record player is enabled with bluetooth to play your favorite playlists. High-speed internet allows you to check on emails, make WiFi-enabled calls, or stream shows. A wall of south-facing windows provides the perfect place to watch snow fall over the adjacent stream.
Note: If you're looking forward to curling up and watching movies, BYO device for watching shows or movies, as the cabin does not have a TV. While we do have great internet, we recommend downloading favorite playlists or movies before you arrive, just in case.
Outside, numerous sustainability measures are helping to reduce the footprint of the farm. Two large solar arrays offset the electricity usage of all five buildings. A large greenhouse extends the growing season and allows us to offer local produce and flowers for sale. Our flock of chickens consumes much of our food scraps and provides sustainable fertilizer for the gardens, as well as year-round eggs. And our free range children keep life exciting and will be enthusiastic about showing you their latest snow forts, mountain bike trails, sledding runs or dams in the stream. Coming next: lambs and Indian runner ducks!
Bring your boots, snowshoes, skis, or sleds to explore the 26 acres on rustic logging paths and surrounding dirt roads. We are close to Montpelier, Northfield, Norwich University, the Mad River Valley, and Randolph. Come for foliage, skiing, mountain biking, or relaxing. (45 minutes to Sugarbush base lodge, 1 hour to Stowe and Killington.)
Travel tip: Snow tires and/or AWD are strongly recommended for winter or spring travel anywhere in Vermont. Weather conditions can change fast here and it can take hours before road crews have time to plow and sand all the hundreds of miles of roads in each town.

I was looking for a quiet getaway for a few days. Life has been heavy and I needed a break from it. This was the perfect place for me to recharge and reset. The cabin was cozy, the fireplace warm, and the bed so comfortable. I hope to be able to return sometime. Wonderful!

This is one of our favorite places we’ve stayed to date! Very peaceful, secluded, private, and beautiful scenery traveling to and from. If you’re looking to truly relax, this is the place. It was very clean and cozy as well. I will definitely stay at Cozy Cabin Retreat should I ever visit Vermont again!

The property was perfect and quiet. The hosts were quick to respond and gave great directions and advice. Will definitely stay again.
Perfect Vermont winter getaway. Warm and cozy inside surrounded by a winter wonderland out the windows .Loved listening to the records while in front of the gas fireplace. It invites you to unplug, read, enjoy conversations , and take in the beautiful landscape around you.All the amenities were just right for our needs. We also enjoyed walking in a wooded area on the property. We loved riding through the local Vermont towns and shopping in the country stores. We want to come back in late spring
Super comfortable and pretty views. We enjoyed our stay and loved the fire place. The bed was cozy and the everything was clean. Would stay here again.
Cory indeed! The cabin is lovely, offers great privacy (private garage is a plus), and was nicely appointed. The hosts were welcoming and communication was excellent. It is in a quiet rural area but isn't a long drive to Montpellier, Woodstock, etc. Would definitely stay again!
This cabin was perfect! Clean and lovely - loved opening the back door and hearing the brook go by in the back yard. The hosts were super kind and considerate. Loved meeting their puppies! Would go back in a heartbeat - super convenient to the highway and easy to get to and from.
The owner’s provided detailed information on how to get to the place and other relevant info. The space is perfect for two people and fairly easy to get to. Would definitely recommend people stay here!!
My fiance and I stayed here for my best friends wedding, and this was the perfect cabin getaway! The cabin was very clean, and had a cozy vibe to it. Hannah was an amazing host and answered any questions I had immediately. We will definitely stay here again!

The creek that runs by the cottage was lovely. The sound of water was relaxing and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and just listening. Loved just slowing down.
Everything that mattered was lovely… cozy wood stove and sitting area, comfy bed, gorgeous views of just trees and easy check-in/out. Had delicious dinners at Short Notice in town and with food from East Warren community Market. Let the shower run a bit and bring soap.
My boyfriend and I had an absolutely amazing time here. The property owners were very friendly and communicative. The cabin is exactly as it looks in the pictures: cozy, cute, and clean! It was so nice to be surrounded by greenery. We meal-prepped/brought all of our food, but the cabin had some of the essentials, like coffee filters or tin foil. Check in and check out was also super easy/simple. I would highly recommend this property, and hope to go back!

Wonderful place, just need to fill in holes and level the driveway out, especially at the garage. Hope to stay again one day, but I plan on driving my corvette next time, which sits low to the ground.
Also, they are serious about no cellular service, but I enjoyed the quietness without my phone working.
Gorgeous scenery, on a small farm with some chickens and other animals. Two friendly dogs. There is a lovely view overlooking a small pond in the backyard. The owners were super nice about a miscommunication (on my part) about my dog. They helped me find a solution. The house is in between the owner's home and another VRBO house, so it isn't exactly private if that's what you are looking for. The house itself is charming, adorably decorated, and extremely clean. A great place to lay your head.
If we could give this cabin more stars we would! Nestled in between beautiful mountains with a small babbling brook outside our bedroom window, it was the perfect place to call “home” for a few days. The hosts were welcoming and friendly but gave us the space and privacy we wanted. The cabin itself was well appointed and defined cozy! We loved listening to albums as we sat by the warm gas lit wood stove and read in the evenings. We had some of the best nights sleep here as well!
We already look forward to returning here next year, but next time we will stay much, much longer! Vermont is a beautiful state especially for people who enjoy the outdoors!
Thank you Hannah and Cyrus You made us feel very welcome! You are truly wonderful stewards of this land.

Why they chose this property
Wildwood Farm is a very special place - nestled into a rural valley, this farm checked all our boxes: a swimming pond, streams for playing and building in, a fantastic sledding hill, a greenhouse for growing all our favorite veggies, meadows and forests to explore and build trails through and three houses (our family's farmhouse plus two rental cottages) so we can share the land and its beauty with others.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is charming and private without being remote. Located just off a well-maintained dirt road and an easily navigable driveway, it overlooks a stream and southern meadow. You'll be greeted by a black lab and a posse of overly friendly chickens. Watch the hummingbirds zip back and forth as you drink your coffee on the back deck. Admire the snowy meadows illuminated by the light of the moon. Explore the trails throughout the forest - or forge your own!
It has an attached garage (no need to clear snow from your car!) for safe, dry storage of all your gear. From within, you'll hear the stream below your window but no traffic sounds. Step outside at night to see the breathtaking stars and Milky Way; our location is one of the darkest areas in the east.
