Overall, we had a good stay here. The location is right next to two tube locations, and the Elizabeth line goes straight to the airport. Not too far from the downtown core. Two negatives are the pubs downstairs that can get extremely loud until 11pm, and the amount of mosquitoes in the unit.
A Wonderful Stay Everything about the property matched the host’s description perfectly. The booking process was seamless, and the host remained responsive and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist when needed. The location was exceptional—just a short walk to a major transport hub that made getting around the city effortless. It was also within walking distance of St Paul's Cathedral, surrounded by cozy pubs, a variety of restaurants, and conveniently located near grocery stores and pharmacies. It truly felt like a home away from home—comfortable, well-situated, and welcoming in every way.
Loved the location. 6 min walk to subway station with connections to all 3 airports and rest of the city. Many cafes and Pubs nearby including one open 24hrs within 2 min walk. Very safe. Lift is a big plus! Great stay for us.
This stay was fantastic. Rolf and Mok were very easy to communicate with and the flat was perfect. Great location, east access to several train lines and restaurants. A great stay for my two teen age daughters and myself.
Everything about the apartment was just as described. It was in a great location where restaurants and bars were right outside your doorsteps. It’s within 3 minutes of walking to the train and has a lot of other amenities right around the corner.

Julio thanks for finding us and staying ! We are delighted that you could enjoy the area, recognising its a small flat - The City of London is one of the oldest large cities in Europe, and we have the activities of market and such nearby.
Very best wishes, it was delightful to host and we hope to see you and family and friends again soon ! Best wishes //rolf mok
Rolf was very helpful in preparing us for our stay. While the flat is small, it can support a family of four and has access to multiple tube stops. It was an accommodation that was perfect for our short 5 day stay in London.
We had the best experience of staying in this apartment during our visit to London.
The manager, Rolf, helped us way beyond what you would expect and for that we are vere grateful.
We had a wonderful stay - the property was just as described. Super convenient location, right next to several tube stops as well as walking distance to many things. Communication with Rolf was easy and the information provided to us was super helpful! There was some noise from the market across the street, but with the windows closed we didn’t notice it at all. Even with them open we were so tired it didn’t bother us. Flat had everything we needed. Can’t recommend this enough-we will be back! Thanks for a wonderful time!!
The flat is perfect to spend a good time in london.
The location is great, in à central district.
The flat is perfect for 4 peoples, very clean and pretty
I recommend !
Rolf, see you for the next Time in london
Excellent location and nicely appointed. Didn’t notice noise from Smithfield Market as long as the windows were shut. Definitely mind the warnings about the lift as it’s very sensitive (3 of us ended up getting stuck at one point), but in general we had a very positive experience. Great base for exploring London, and it’s easily accessible to Heathrow via the Elizabeth Line. Would stay there again!
The location is great, especially on weekends when it's quiet. I absolutely loved looking out at the city scape and the sky. With a park opposite you aren't fenced in at all. There is a wholesale night market 2am-10am which is noisy with windows open but with windows closed you can't hear it. The space is small but clean and had everything we needed. There is a foyer area which we found very handy for the clothes horse. The hosts were really helpful with all the info we needed. I'd stay there again for sure!
Excellent location, excellent hosts, well equipped flat
This apartment is located walking distance from St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Millennium bridge and the Tate Museum among other places. It’s one block from the Farringdon stop on the Elizabeth line. Public transportation is easy to get to go anywhere a tourist would like to see. Although it’s across the Smithfield market, which starts working around midnight, and there is a bit of noise, it’s nothing terrible (and in 2028 the market will be closed). Cleanliness was excellent, and it was very well equipped. Rolf and Mok left a lot of supplies too (coffee, tea, salt, sugar, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc) everything to make your stay nicer. There is a very convenient mini Tesco a block away. Communication with Rolf (one of the hosts) was excellent and they were very concerned solving our issues, should we have any. I definitely recommend you stay here. I would, if I came back to London.
We were in town for a wedding , and this location was PERFECT. Walkability to many sites, close metro and bus stops- we always felt very secure and safe- not only in the flat, but in the neighborhood. We had two adults and one teen, and greatly appreciated the extra room the flat provided versus a hotel room. Having our own washer/dryer was a game-changer, as well as a kitchen to save leftovers, shop at bourough market for fresh ingredients, and not have to eat out every meal.Communication with the owners was perfect. We greatly appreciated their helpful suggestions and advice. Once we figured out our ideal temperature in Celsius (lol), the heat worked perfectly, and we were very comfortable.I am honestly puzzled as to previous negative reviews- I can only conjecture that those guests were not prepared for any sort of big city living. There are normal city noises, including hearing trucks outside, water in pipes and occasional neighbor moving around. I can say this location was MUCH quieter than many places in New York or Chicago that we’ve stayed….. and much more pleasant!Beds were great- no complaints, and plenty of pillows so that everyone could find something that worked for them. The decor is minimal, but carefully curated- we enjoyed every print. Finally, we also appreciated the extra inverters, hair dryer, kitchen supplies, and packaged snacks and tea supplies. Highly recommended!!
The location was fine. Not too far from the more popular tourist attractions. If you are one to need an AC, there is none in the unit. I planned on leaving window open but learned the first night that the meat market across the street works nights. At 3AM I looked out the window and saw many trucks and people working. As a result, it came with noise. I had to close the window and since there was no AC, it got a bit warm but not too bad. The washer/dryer also gave us some trouble the entire time we were there. It kept locking on us and we couldn't open the door while drying to check on clothes. This may have been user error but three of us had trouble with it. I've never had problems with washer/dryers at homeaway listings I've rented before. The unit is perfect for 2 people but more than two people and you would be pushing it. The accommodations could be better but we are not renting the unit to stay in. Enjoy!

hi Sorry for the confusion on the washing machine, we will leave printed instructions. Indeed it was the child lock on the machine; this is a quite new Bosch washer / dryer and has some detailed features. The airco is waiting in the hallway; it was quite cold before you arrived so we had not yet installed it in the flat yet. Hope the weather gets warmer too during next weeks ! and that we can help you more. Best wishes //rolf

It was okay- Hard to sleep
We booked this property bc it has AC & that is not common in London, but an amenity we wanted. (Also feel price reflects for this unit as it is more expensive than units in central London w/o AC). We confirmed closer to stay & we’re told it is not traditional built in AC or unit in apt. There’s a roll around unit you stick out the window. Too late to book anything else. During our stay it was warm in London (to us) & we had to roll the ac unit in from the hallway& put it in the living room as there is no space in the bedroom. The unit is across the street from a meat market that operates from 12 AM- 7 AM. It is LOUD. There are 18 wheelers, forklifts, etc. working all night long. We had to keep the windows open for the AC in the living room and the bedroom had no airflow so windows had to be open. No one slept. The mattress for the “bed(s)” in the living room are about 3inches thick. Slimmest mattress I have ever slept on. No one had a good nights sleep the entire time. The lift was also broken when we got there (no fault of the owner) but it was fixed. On our last night there, we took the elevator after a long day and it broke in between floors. We had to call the fire department. This unit is too small for 4 adults— we had three adults and one child and were always stepping on top of one another. With the trundle bed pulled out, you cannot walk around it into the rest of the living room/kitchen. Location is close to Elizabeth line which is nice but not any big landmarks.

Hi Susan, we are so sorry you felt uncomfortable during the exceptional warm weather ! Indeed the flat is across from the oldest market in London, and in the most historic part of the City of London. St. Pauls is a stones throw away, not a Lego shop in sight, minutes to Tate Modern by foot and the Barbican.
We are always asked to accommodate extra travellers, but we take your guidance and will restrict the travelling group.
Our deepest apologies for the lift (elevator) issues, since resolved. You might travel in Europe require escalation of some stairs.
Again apologies for your discomfort; we take all feedback on board and continue to invest in the travel experience in this part of historic London.
Trust the rest of the travel was fun !
We loved our stay here! Check-in was simple and the flat was comfortable and well-supplied. The neighborhood is great, with lots of excellent restaurants and pubs nearby, and it's an easy walking distance to two underground lines. Our host Rolf quickly responded to a few questions we had (British appliances are different than American ones!) and made some excellent suggestions about where to go and how to get there. But I especially want to note his kindness to us when our flight home was cancelled four hours before departure. He allowed us to stay past our check-out time so that we could make plans. He would even have let us stay an extra night had we wanted, even though he had been planning to use the flat that night. We truly appreciated his flexibility and helpfulness - they went a long way in easing a stressful situation!I recommend Rolf's flat without any reservations. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay in London!

Thank you Janet, we were delighted to host you and hope it was a bit smoother with the turbulence of a delayed flight. Indeed there are many good options for dining and classic British experience here in one of the old parts of London ! hope to see you again here or perhaps as well in Barcelona. Very best wishes ! //rolf mok

London Stay
Location: walking distance to many attractions; however, the area nightlife is quiet on weekends. In fact, there are only a couple of restaurants that are open and quickly reserved as pubs do not serve dinner on Sunday nights. Except in the bedroom, which is triple glazed, there is noise heard in the living/kitchen sleeping area throughout the night from the trucks unloading at the Smithfield Market across the street.
Necessities: appliances work; most importantly, the beds are comfortable as as the linens. However, international guests would greatly benefit from more lamps (not harsh general lighting) to get through the dark hours of jet lag.
Apartment: there was some thought put in to make the apartment attractive and unique (the painting scheme, antiques, dinnerware); however, there are a few things that do need to be replaced or repaired (missing towel bar; broken bedroom lamp; fraying "cut" carpet in the hallway) to prevent it from looking shabby.
If these details were taken care of, then I would highly recommend the property to those using only the bedroom for sleeping (or for heavy sleepers).
Great location, close to 3 tube stations all within zone 1, walking distance to many attractions, lots of good places to eat. Apartment can do with some updating but overall very comfortable.
