Welcome to SHELL COTTAGE! Rated a guest favorite and super host on other booking platforms. This pet friendly hidden gem is situated on a private little lane and is close to everything Wilmington has to offer!

• 2 bedrooms (each with a queen size bed)
• 2 full baths (one in MB)
• VERY large private fenced in backyard with picnic table and BBQ grille
• 2 miles from ILM airport
• 2 mile to downtown Wilmington with its restaurants, bars, riverwalk, Amphitheater, wedding venues, and more!
• 2.5 miles to the Convention Center and Live Oak Bank Pavillion Music/Show venue
• 5 miles to UNC Wilmington campus
• 6 miles to golf courses
• Less than 10 miles from Wrightsville Beach
• A short drive to Carolina Beach Amusement Boardwalk and miniature golf as well as the North Carolina Aquarium!

We are located on a shared private lane with two other cottages which is what makes this cottage so quaint and cozy! Relax and unwind in the homey living area, or on the private front porch. Grab some steaks and grille in the large private fully fenced backyard were you furry friends can run and play.

The cottage is also a very short walk from a little goat farm where you can sit on a bench and feed the goats for 25 cents. If you're lucky you may see a little baby goat.

We supply enough paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, tea, sugars and creamers to get you through your first couple of days. For longer stays there is a Food Lion supermarket less than 2 mi from the cottage.

There are 2 designated gravel parking spaces for the cottage, one in front and one on the side of the cottage. Parking in the shared lane or on the grass is strictly prohibited.

For the safety of our guests the cottage has 1 active camera overlooking the driveway/lane and front door and it records video and audio. This device is on the exterior of the property and does NOT face in to any windows.

Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Set thermostat to 70 degrees in winter or 74 in summer upon check out
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No hair dying of any kind allowed anywhere in or outside of the cottage
Septic System - nothing in kitchen drain except water based liquids - NO OIL OF ANY KIND. Nothing in toilets except pee, poop and toilet paper.
Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Pet bed is supplied.

Perfect for the pups! Huge fenced in back yard with tall wooden fence. Michelle was awesome-she tried to help us find a local dog sitter when ours fell through and communicated with us the whole stay .The cottage was comfortable with everything we needed for our short stay.Close to beach and town too!Would certainly stay there again!!

I'm a retired Sr. Scientist from Northeast Pennsylvania. I love to cook, bake, and camp in my RV. I purchased this cottage so I could snowbird to North Carolina and visit my family, so I also live in this cottage part-time.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because it's a quaint little cottage on a private lane. There are three cottages on the lane. It has a very private feel yet it's still close to everything Wilmington has to offer!

What makes this property unique

The location of my home makes my property stand out. You can spend a day at the beach and come home to a nice quiet serene home and spend a relaxing quiet evening cuddling up on the couch watching TV or grilling a steak and chicken on the barbecue. It's only 2 mi from the airport and 2 mi from Downtown Wilmington and it's famous Riverwalk, restaurants, shopping, great bars and live music venues. Getting an Uber and going into town for an evening is a breeze!
