The house was perfect for us. We had three generations celebrating early Christmas and there was plenty of space for grandma, parents and adults kids with partners, plus 2 dogs. The kitchen had plenty of room for cooking and the setting was absolutely gorgeous. We loved our time at this house.
My wife and I stayed here while visiting our son in northern California. The house is huge and spotlessly clean and outfitted with everything need to make your stay comfortable. Since right down the road from Mt. Ashland this would be a remarkable place to base a ski vacation.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication
The cabin might be a good place to stay but when we got there, there was a TERRIBLE smell on the lower level of the cabin affecting half of the sleeping areas. It was a few days before we discovered that the source of the smell was garbage that had been left in the garage, perhaps for several weeks. The smell was overpowering!. Also the downstairs bathroom door was broken, and several other things showed that rental management hadn't been paying attention. The house sleeps 8 yet there were not enough silverware to cover two meals so we were constantly having to wash silverware to set the table. It's not hard to buy another set from Walmart. The decks had a lot of slivers so shoes are definately necessary to use them. Communication with the management company left something to be desired. Messages went unanswered and when there was a lock on my credit card so that the last payment couldn't be made, nobody contacted me that they were having a problem. Overall, we liked the location and the house was just fine but the management of the place needs improvement.
