I craved checkout instructions as that is what I am used to. One message to the host was quickly answered. A small quirky thing, in the bedroom with the bunk bed (I stayed in), it is really close to the fan. If you have little ones, they need to be careful. The fan and light are operated by the same switch so you cannot have the fan on and the light off. It has AC so not a huge prob for northern MI. The shower in that room is tiny! While the room darkening shades in the main bedroom were fantastic. The parking spots are tiny. All the residents drive huge pick up trucks, so if you have a large car/truck it will be hard to get out of. It is in a good location, 15-20 minutes from downtown Charlevoix. Walkable to stores to pickup supplies, beer, and alcohol. Rented a boat right down the road. Was a blast and was able to escape the “heat dome” over July 4th. Definitely worked for us as a place to sleep while we visited family at their cottage.
