About this property

Boutique Coastal Cottage on the Wild Atlantic Way, Galway & Oranmore

Experience Galway like a local in this charming 2-bedroom cottage with a touch of nautical charm. Nestled at the rear of the main house, the cottage is private and peaceful, with its own driveway and parking—giving you a quiet retreat away from the road while still being close to all that Galway Bay has to offer.
Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a relaxing stay. Sleep soundly in a super king bed and two double beds, all dressed in 500-thread-count Sheridan linens with Christy towels for a hotel-quality touch. A cozy living area with a wood-burning stove invites evenings by the fire, while the fully equipped kitchen and bean-to-cup coffee machine make mornings a treat. Modern conveniences include WiFi, a washing machine and dryer, and a hair dryer, plus a bathroom with both a bathtub and shower for your comfort.
Step outside to your own private outdoor space, complete with a fire table, comfortable seating, and a handcrafted wooden boat feature called An Bhanríon (“The Queen”), which gives the cottage a unique nautical character. It’s the perfect spot for your morning coffee, a quiet read, or drinks under the stars.
With its blend of comfort, privacy, and distinctive charm, this cottage is the ideal base for a memorable Galway getaway.

Wonderfully Comfortable Cottage

Heaney's cottage definitely made us feel as welcomed flowers of May! The whole place was clean and the beds were comfortable! There were pillows for all types of sleepers and more! There was so much material on sites, food and activities. We wished we would have stayed twice as long. Close enough to drive to Cliffs of Moore and Bunratty castle just to name a few!

This vacation property is absolutely amazing! We rent a lot of homes and this is definitely the best one that we’ve ever been in. The owner is absolutely delightful. The kitchen was well equipped, and everything you need for a fantastic vacation was present. The location is excellent. It’s just enough out of town to be in the country, but you can be in the village in about eight minutes. Also, there is public transportation and a train that goes into Galway from Oranmore.
