Glamping on 5 acres Amazing Views of Cascades Salish Sea & Mt Rainier - #1 of 4
Vashon Island is waiting for you at this cozy 1-bedroom glamping tent. Steen Strawberry Farm offers several thoughtfully spaced glamping tents, making it a great destination for couples, families, or groups who want to reserve multiple tents together while still enjoying their own private space. The queen bed ensures a good night's sleep for guests. A refreshing shower awaits in the shared bathroom. The property also includes a washing machine & dryer for added convenience. We hope you enjoy what our place and Vashon has to offer. FYI: Racoons are around. They are wild animals & are not “your cute little friends”. Do not approach them, do not feed them, do not leave any food out. Coyotes are around but normally you won’t see them but you might hear them howl around full moons or when they catch dinner. If you see one do not approach them, do not feed them &leave no food outside or in the tent (keep in cooler). At this time adults only but in future we plan to include families with children.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

I am glad that it exceeded your expectations. And also glad even though was 50°F at night the down (or down alternative) comforter was warm enough for you guys. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
I'd be happy to recommend this place to anyone looking for a true glamping experience on Vashon Island. The tents are thoughtfully curated and have everything you need for a comfortable stay while still letting you fully enjoy being immersed in nature. It's clear that a lot of care has gone into every detail.Corey was a fantastic host—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful. He made the entire experience feel effortless and was clearly invested in making sure guests had a great stay. The setting is beautiful, with gorgeous views all around, and it's an easy, enjoyable walk into town, making it the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and convenience. If you're looking for an authentic glamping getaway with a wonderful host, beautiful surroundings, and a well-appointed setup, this is the place. We'd absolutely stay here again!

Thank so much for your review. I am so glad you enjoyed your experience here at Steen Strawberry Farm 🍓 and the historical significance of the property and Steen brother’s part in shaping Vashon.
The neighbors greatly appreciate your alerting them to the fire that started on their temporary “party bar” from the empty wine bottle left sitting outside magnifying heat from the morning sun.
Looking forward to hosting you two again very soon, possibly in a Winter tent :-) with stove.
The glamping tent on this shared-use property was a great experience! The listing is accurate and Kory was a wonderful communicative and accommodating host. This is less than a mile from town so it's very convenient to pop into town for shopping, restaurants, and events. The field surrounding the tent was beautiful, whimsical, and gives a view of the Puget Sound. The tent was great and bed very comfortable. If you have a trip to Vashon and you're a laid back adventurist, you will love this place!

About the host
Hosted by Kory Lovre
I am a Seattle born native. Steen Strawberry Farm 🍓 was established by my lumberjacking great-grandparents in the 1860s as they immigrated from Norway & proceeded to cut down all of the trees on Vashon (one of the ferry boats has photo of that time.
Why they chose this property
Great grandparents chose due to similarities to area in Norway they came from.
What makes this property unique
The property is 5 acres with only one acre developed & has view of Puget Sound from Contemplation Rock and several view spots of Mt Rainier and Cascades.
