Thoughtfully designed for peace and renewal, this private one-bedroom guest suite blends minimalist luxury with a serene forest setting, making it well suited for couples or solo travelers seeking rest, creativity, or a quiet getaway. Guests can enjoy tranquil surroundings and modern comforts, including a relaxing soak in the Goodland wood-fired hot tub. Conveniently located just a scenic ferry ride from Seattle or Tacoma.
Lovingly named after our resident barred owl, The Hoot Suite is a one-of-a-kind forest retreat and a true labor of love. Nestled on four acres of Pacific Northwest woodland, this design-forward guest suite was thoughtfully transformed from a former artist studio into a peaceful escape that blends understated luxury with the calm of nature.
Centrally located on Vashon Island’s Westside, just 15 minutes from either ferry terminal and a short drive to town, The Hoot Suite offers privacy in a carefully curated setting. Black concrete floors, a warm wood ceiling, and refined details throughout create a serene interior, while large windows and skylights frame lush greenery, allowing guests to wake to birdsong and fully unwind in the quiet of the forest.

The Hoot Suite is attached to the main residence, where your hosts live full-time. The suite has a separate entrance, privacy fencing, and dedicated parking to ensure a secluded and comfortable stay. The suite is accessed through a shared driveway and will accommodate 1 vehicle. Most guests note that they rarely see us during their visit.
Guests will receive a remote access code prior to arrival for seamless self check-in.
